Hi Everyone I want to share our or experience today that happen at the Sheffield town centre. Me and my friend decide to go for one drink, but we did not get our ID today as I have been there once before and never have any problems with . However as soon as the security guy have seen as , he say I’m looking very drunk , with was a shock because we haven’t been drinking yet . That’s was our first place to get a drink , his behaviour was unacceptable he was call as to shut up and he say he knows me bc I have been reported by others pub . I was shocked bc I don’t go to pubs , so he just spare fake information I say that’s definitely not me but he was laughing, and shouting at us and says that he gonna call the radio and gonna ban us from West Street which he did. I asked to talk to his manager which he refused and then the lady from the bar she come over and she was like seeing everything he has done the way he talked to us and she was laughing with him which is unbelievable . I explained them that if we don’t have ID and they can let us in then that’s fine but don’t accuse us of being too drunk and sparing fake information that I was fighting in other pubs today because that’s that’s a lie . He still was saying that he saw me on camera in other places, which is a lie because we just left our house and then went to the first pub. Than he start recording me and trying to provoke me , saying that I was aggressive witch I was not . He was , very disrespectful and so do all the staff there . I’m shock completely shocked. He say we are ban from west street 😅😅. I’m gonna take legal action if I don’t get my apology from the staff and the man who was on the doorstep. I will not allow spreading fake information about myself. Aswell we were just talking to police and reporting this and they say we don’t look drunk and I should make complain to the manager about his staff that work there . Shock and I will wait for legal...
Read moreAs an American, all I can say is AVOID. Is another disappointing place that slaps an American flag up and claims is American food.
Good music and decor. Drinks were ok - staff did not know how to mix any of the drinks on the menu and couldn’t make anything not on the menu.
There were 4 bar staff, but only one guy trying to serve all meals. Very poorly organised and run.
Granted it was a Saturday visit we pre-booked a table for 7:15 & were required to preorder our meals. Got there it was empty, but the restaurant was chaos. There was a member of staff laid in our booth that another staff member had to chivvy out so we could sit. They didn’t seem to know we’d preordered - waited over an hour for our food which once it was delivered was all below subpar.
The waffles were the prepackaged sugar Belgian waffles. The bacon was slimy and still breathing, egg overcooked, cheap Richmond sausage, and all of it covered in chip seasoning. The menu states it comes with butter and maple syrup, but they said they hadn’t ordered any when they did their food order. (There’s a Tesco across the road)
My companions meals were all overcooked and well over salted. I mean, peeling the breading off the chicken strips and the chicken was still salty… I mean, I know America’s a hot mess right now, but serving a cremated ‘American dream’ meal is a bit of overkill.
We were offered a discount and a free round of drinks. No amount of alcohol can make up for that salty burnt atrocity and the discount was an insult. Just paid and left as soon as possible. Think we’ll...
Read moreI can apriectate that when we walked in a large party of walk ins had gone in before us. However the restaurant was not full in the slightest. We were greeted after having booked for 8pm, 5 mins after being stood at the door (This was when we walked over to staff to ask if we could be served). Once sat with a couple of menu's 15 minutes went by before we were even approached to order drinks or food. After ordering we received our starter and finished it without having our drinks. 36 mins after entering the restrant we finally got our drinks. Proceeding this a further 15 minutes went by before we received our mains which was... bland and not cooked correctly. The Mac and cheese served was like dried out wall paper, just bland with Burnt! Cheese on the top, Half of it attached to a small frying pan. Stake that was asked to be cooked rare clearly came out well done and as for the ribs which have supposedly been marinated for 24 hours, you would think it difficult to make them dry, difficult to eat and luke warm, however this was certainly accomplished by the chef. Just a rather disappointing visit all round, I feel sorry for the lovley gentleman behind the bar as he seemed to be working his arse off most of the night and did apologies for the experience. Even to the point of giving us a free drink but still it dies not make up for a place to serve BBQ food to have the best part of the meal be the Blue cheese sauce and the drinks. No word of a lie that sauce...
