Tiger Works — Restaurant in Sheffield

A horrendously insecure place to go and more horrendous to even write reviews for. Last night I was there. As I entered, I was not asked for an ID. After a while, I exited the place. But when I wanted to re-enter I was asked for an ID. I said I was in there a few minutes ago, but the security denied my access to the place. I talked to the manager and she said I had to apologise to the security guy to gain entry. I asked what I should apologise for and she said I have sworn at the guy (which I absolutely believe) I didn’t. Then I went back to the guy and asked him when and how I cursed him. He started kicking off with a barrage of F-words and even pushed me. I thought bouncers are there to provide a place with security and not to cause problems themselves. Had they wanted my ID, I could have gone back to my place and shown them my ID. But they just wanted me to apologise to them for the word that I had not uttered. And apart from that, the manager was even trying to kindle the anger of the security guy instead of calming the situation down. The security guy was on about saying to me all the F-words he had learnt in his entire life. This place ruined my whole night and the experience of a joyful evening. the bouncers working on the night of Saturday 9th of September were awful, the safety of the people at the club especially the younger people who attended that night was next to none. they hurled abuse at one girl claiming that she would "die alone" they didn't seem intent on de-escalating whatever situation happened and instead of doing their job of keeping a calm and safe environment proceeded to verbally assault a young girl, no matter what the issue at hand was, it is never necessary to tell someone to "kill themselves"/"they will die alone", another time in the same night the bouncers refused to help a group of girls looking for their friend in the club to take her home as the missing friend had no key to get back into the flats and they obviously didn't want to leave her on her own - seemingly not trained at all on how to keep young girls safe on a night out or do their job of resolving issues, enhancing safety and being...

This venue has a bad reputation for good reason. The management of this venue is not professional.

Management are awful here. They don't let people in if they're not in groups, and if they are in a group, the lads slowly get kicked out 1 by 1 for petty reasons. Any attempt to be reasonable is automatically refused.

As for the girls that remain inside finishing their drinks? Management starts flirting and creeping on them when the lads aren't in there to look out for them. I've never seen management do this before, but they do it here apparently.

If that wasn't bad enough, if the group doesn't have lads, then the girls who are inside aren't protected at all. They're treated terribly by many men inside.

The hours are good and the popularity is good, it's always packed. But the floor is often wet, toilets aren't great, staff and bouncers are hit or miss.
