We came here as a large party of more than ten for a Christmas party. The restaurant was very busy especially at the bar area, typical restaurants of this type often cram patrons in regardless of how packed it becomes. Sometimes there becomes a point when the staff should start turning people away.
The overall feel of the place is good with a great atmosphere. When we arrived we were seated straight away. The tables are very close together so it can be a little cramped when anyone is stood between tables, leaving patrons waiting for servers to clear the aisles to get back to their respective tables.
Our server took our first drinks order and we were able to open individual tabs. The drinks came shortly followed by our pre ordered starters. We all enjoyed our starters and waited for our mains.
This is where it went a little wrong, as the mains took around 45 minutes to an hour after we'd finished our starters to them arriving. Portion sizes were tiny for most dishes, i ordered steak with a (very) light scattering of fries on a large plate (see my image of 9 fries), the steak although tasty was disappointing in size and flavour made up only by the delicious sauces.
Sadly one of our party didnt receive anything, he had to ask the server what happened to his steak. One of our party also didnt like spicy food so asked for a plain portion of fries. The steak came, around 20 minutes later, incredibly rare which is not what he ordered but was prepared to eat it as he didn't want to wait any longer. After another hour, we were still waiting on the fries and decided the desserts would arrive soon so called over the server to just cancel them. Surely a portion of fries isnt this hard to produce?
Following the mains, the drinks took an eternity to come each time a round was ordered. Lastly, when the deserts came, we thought they were a joke. I ordered a chili chocolate brownie, which was again tiny, again see my image. It was all the more evident as the plate it was served on once again was large.
Overall the food was good, it just took so long between courses that when they did arrive their tiny size felt like we were being ripped off.
Lastly, the toilets. The gents were a row of three cubicles with a small corridor to stand in whilst waiting for one to become free. It was funny because another patron who I didn't know commented what a joke it is that in 2019 a restaurant of this size has 3 toilets for every gent in the place. I'm told the ladies were the same by my partner. As the toilets are upstairs any disabled or patrons with mobility issues cannot eat at this restaurant.
To conclude, the food was tasty for the small amount we received, the times between courses were far too long, toilets inaccessible and few in number but the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. A good restaurant, but we wouldn't go again due to some very...
Read moreGreat for a Valentines meal! My girlfriend and I have only ever been here for Valentines, this year and the last. Last year we did just the regular Valentines booking, this year we did the Bottomless Valentines booking.
Each time the food, drinks and service has been impeccable. If you're on a regular booking I'd recommend taking advantage of the happy hours! This year we decided we didn't really want to be against the clock for ordering drinks so we did bottomless, it definitely seems cost effective when you see the cocktails are all pretty much £10 each! Before coming we thought we'd have to be fighting for a waiter/waitress to take our drinks order so we don't order lots of drinks but it really was the opposite. We were approached by our amazing waitresses at perfect timings asking if we'd like to get another drinks order in. They would come roughly just as you're starting a drink or when you're halfway through it so by the time your other drinks are made you'll have another at the ready. We tried many different cocktails, we had roughly 7 each, all were super nice, special mention goes to the Koko Kolada, their version of a piña colada, an unbeatable drink. A special mention to Bahama Mama, the banana flavour in that drink was awesome.
The food was amazing also, salt fish fritters to start, really tasty and the pineapple salsa that was smothered on top went with them perfectly. As for mains we had Trini Curry Chicken and the Kingston Fried Chicken with Mac & Cheese, both of which were absolutely delicious. To finish we both had poached pineapple which was a very nice, light and fruity way to finish the food for the evening.
Special thanks to our waitresses that night who were lovely and really brought the whole experience up a notch. Maz, and a young lady with dark hair and a butterfly tattoo (we didn't get her name unfortunately but I hope she'll know...

We received great service , our waitress Elisa was super attentive meaning that we had 6-7 cocktails each 🥴and a brunch dish all for that price which I don't think is bad at all.
The food is Carribbean themed, vibrant tasty and often spicy 🌶️! I chose the chicken stack that is their version of chicken and waffles with tasty roti pancakes tangy hot sauce and a drizzle of honey and watermelon chunks. It was super tasty but the chicken was a bit dry. Would still order again though 😂. I loved the authentic sauces on every table too. My friends chose an egg dish and a roti wrap.
We tried most of the cocktails on the menu 🍹🥴 and they were all delicious!
Definite recommendation for groups!
