I visited the venue on the evening of 06/09/2025 with my partner. Upon arrival, we were informed that the entry fee was £5 per person, which seemed fair at first, so I asked whether any student or industry discounts were available. Unfortunately, I was told that no discounts were being offered. This was particularly disappointing given that my partner had previously worked for the company at Four Leaf Irish Bar, where discounts for industry workers were regularly provided. In fact, as recently as six months ago, these discounts were still in place. This made it all the more frustrating when no support was offered on this visit, especially when such perks had been available so recently.
Before deciding whether to enter, I asked if I could have a quick look around to gauge how busy the venue was and whether it seemed worth the £10 entry fee. After seeing the crowd, I chose to go ahead and pay the fee.
However, my experience quickly went downhill. The first issue was with the drink prices. I ordered two double vodka and cokes, expecting a decent drink for the money. Instead, what I was served was cheap, low-quality vodka that tasted harsh and unpleasant—more like a cheap paint stripper than anything you’d want to consume. The two drinks cost £15.90, which, for the quality of alcohol, felt like a complete rip-off. The drink had an overpowering burn, and the vodka’s taste left much to be desired.
Adding to the disappointment was the general atmosphere inside the venue. There was a large crowd, with people dancing on benches, and this created a chaotic and unsafe environment. I witnessed multiple individuals falling off these benches as they attempted to dance, and it seemed like an accident waiting to happen. I couldn’t help but think about the health and safety risks involved—particularly with alcohol being spilled all over the place. Not only does this create a hazard for the people involved, but with spilt drinks on the floor, it increases the risk of slips and falls. It struck me as a significant oversight in terms of venue management and safety.
The overall lack of attention to these issues, coupled with the overpriced and subpar drinks, left me feeling as though the venue was more focused on maximizing profits than ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for its guests. The falling, dancing patrons combined with the spilt drinks created a dangerous atmosphere, which, if not properly addressed, could result in accidents or injuries.
In addition to the poor-quality drinks and lack of discounts, these safety concerns were a huge letdown. I would expect more care to be taken when it comes to the safety of patrons, especially when alcohol is involved. It was hard to enjoy the night knowing that the venue wasn’t doing enough to address these obvious risks.
Given the steep prices, poor-quality drinks, and lack of basic health and safety measures, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. This venue did not live up to expectations, and I certainly would not recommend it to others based on this experience. It’s clear that the venue could do with a serious rethink in terms of both pricing and safety to make it a more enjoyable place...
Read moreWent for the Sunday comedy night a couple of weeks ago. The comedy was fantastic entertainment, supporting local and up-coming comedians, which was great. Our tickets came with a free becks beer and classic burger, which sounded like a great deal. I looked at the menu and thought the gourmet chicken burger sounded nice so we enquired whether we’d be able to substitute it, paying the extra cost - we were informed I’d have to pay the full price, which is fair enough - different ingredients etc. We still received the free classic burger. The gourmet burger was lovely, but I was glad I payed the extra for it as the classic burgers looked sub-standard to say the least! The burger itself was smaller than the palm of my hand. We were glad we got them for free! We’d definitely go again for the entertainment and atmosphere, but don’t expect too much for the price...
Read moreThis was by a mile the worst food/experience and bottomless brunch I have ever been to. You couldn’t even pay me £25 to ever go again. Had to order your own drinks at the bar for one which were cocktails served in stein sized cups with only 2 shots of alcohol in. It was the first bottomless brunch which has actually sobered me up. The food was diabolical, served in a soggy cardboard box, I asked for no mayo and the burger which was absolutely wet through was lathered in mayo (see pictures). There was only a maximum of 10 peopl in the whole venue at a Taylor swift themed brunch and I have been to livelier funerals. We walked out after 40 minutes and left our untouched food otherwise we’d have...
