I am writing to express my profound disappointment and resentment regarding my recent, and most likely final, encounter at your establishment. I fully expect an establishment of your reputed stature to uphold a certain measure of decency, but alas, the experience I had was outright abhorrent.
We happened to be served by a Hope, who clearly didn't have any!!! She was apparently the "manager", and I regret to inform you that the experience was far removed from any humanly standards of service. Her attitude was a stark reminiscence of a neophyte struggling with the ropes, not a professional, let alone a "manager". Her approach was appallingly aggressive, unprovoked, and utterly unacceptable. The manner in which she spoke to us left us feeling at par with the undignified muck one would scrape off their shoes.
However reluctantly, I am left with no choice but to surmise that she is fundamentally unsuited to the service industry. Her disgust for her own job quite apparent in the disruptive manner she carried herself with. I am not one to wish unemployment on any working individual, but I cannot help but deem this as an exception, for the sake of your respectable establishment.
I trust that the higher ranks within your organisation take this alarming issue into account. Her audacious decision to bring along a camera afterwards to try provoke, or rather, incite a conflict, in an attempt to deny us our drinks, has further contributed to our disdain.
In my humble opinion, some serious rectifying action is absolutely crucial towards this individual to prevent the continued tarnish of your establishment's respectability. I expect and equally trust that you, as the owner, will get a firm grip on this situation and take action against...
Read moreNice Wetherspoons pub in Sheffield City Centre. It's in a really convenient location by Castle Square, and so you can call here during or after a shopping visit. The venue itself is well maintained and is set over two floors. There is plenty of seating however I imagine it can get busy/crowded at peak times. It's quite dark downstairs due to the lack of natural light - there's me natural light upstairs as there's a few windows. Service is quick, as you'd expect at a Wetherspoons, especially when you order using the Order and Pay app where you get table service. The toilets are a little difficult to get to as you have to go up quite a few flights of stairs, though I can say they are really modern and clean. Free WiFi throughout the restaurant is a convenience and I also noticed TVs dotted throughout the place. All staff were friendly and polite. I really...
Read moreI love going to this place with friends. It is centrally located and next to all of the public transport hubs in the city, so no drink and driving! It's a very down to earth place, the staff are friendly and have a great sense of humor. Their food is good, my favorite is Curry night. There is a bar in the ground floor and a second one on the first landing, so at least you've got options. There is a great view of a small courtyard just outside the back, and the people watching there is quite interesting. I've spent evenings alone here either reading or working on some writing, and it was just one of the chillest spots. It's a good place to get some thinking done, but be wary of time and day off the week, sometimes it is really buzzing and busy as well. It has the best of all world's. I miss it and hope to return to it sooner or later. Missing...
