MOJO — Restaurant in Sheffield

Sun 22 June - late night turned up with a large group of very nice people and wanted to use the karaoke - the female stuff were outrageously rude. The whole place was a mess littered with food waste and spilled drinks and the karaoke room was full of half eaten pizza and dirty glasses and gross sticky table. We asked for them to clean it up for us and we paid £60 and they kept us waiting for 20 mins because they were so busy (the place was dead) then they refused to clean up so we did it ourselves. Then one mic was broken and there was no apology - no guidance on how to use the system they started it before we were even in and had finished cleaning up from previous party - they refused to restart the timer so we lost our first 15 -20 mins doing their job for them and they were just unbelievably rude. There was no one else in the place waiting to use the room or anything. It was very disappointing. The room was fine and sound quality was good but only one mic for six people was not really good enough. the girls working there need to be disciplined or go through some kind of management review or sacked or they are going to hurt the business. There were maybe eight or ten people in total and none of us...

First visit to Mojo was on a Saturday night at 7pm. Had heard good things and wanted to try it for myself. Pros: • The food is gorgeous. We had a pepperoni New York pizza and an Elvis Detroit Pizza. Both incredibly fresh and tasty • The atmosphere was great for a night out. VERY loud (may not be to everyone's taste!), good party music, smiling staff, lovely decor • Staff very friendly when approached • Unique, delicious, well-made cocktails

Cons: • No staff greeting customers - we had a table booked and had to find it ourselves; the bar was 5 deep and no staff were visible, not ideal • No idea if we were supposed to order at the bar or if someone would come to take our order. Would be better if this was explained (maybe on the menu?) • Ordering at the bar - not great when the bar is heaving and you're starving!! Would be much better to have staff take orders or maybe an app to order food and drinks

Overall, would visit again as food and music top notch. Would either visit during the week for better service or for drinks...

Mojo really surprised me after going for the second time. Me and some friends went for bottomless brunch and it was an all round great experience. The music was great as well as the service. Our server was very attentive and kept us all plied with drinks. It was quite good value for money too which is great for everyone.

The only negative I could give this bar would be the lack of options for the gold package. Only three cocktails and one alcoholic beer option isn't really good enough. (There were a couple less significant choices too) Food is very lacking too. While the pizza was fantastic, it would've been nice to have other foods available.

Despite this, overall I would recommend a visit. It's good fun with friends...
