Costa Coffee — Restaurant in South Ribble

I didn't enjoy my visit to Costa Coffee in Penwortham for various reasons.

The only Gluten, Wheat and Dairy Free food you could eat was Mince Pies. Apart from this, there was no other choices. As for sandwiches, pasta or toasties, there were none that were Gluten, Wheat and Milk free.

I feel the food and drink are way overly priced for the amount you get.

It is very expensive to charge customers £2.55 for a small latte. It makes it even more expensive to have to pay 0.45p, so you can have lactose free milk, this is then a total of £3.

I was not asked if I wanted anything other than a drink, the person that served me, then started to make me a drink and they said there wasn't anything I could eat that met my above dietary needs.

The only positive thing was that another person said good bye to me when I was leaving, but didn't assist me whilst I was...

I visited the Costa coffee cafe in Penwortham on Monday 20th January 2025 twice. On my first visit I bought a large takeaway tea with oat milk for myself. It cost £2.70 which is reasonable for a large takeaway tea which I paid by card. On my second visit I bought a large takeaway tea with oat milk for myself and a large takeaway tea with milk for someone who was doing some plastering work for me at my house. I paid for these using my free drinks on my Costa Club card! The teas that I had were excellent. The service I received from the staff was excellent. There is free WiFi. There is plenty of places to sit at. There are also toilet facilities. I would recommend a visit to the Costa coffee cafe...

Seriously iv just heard the Manger walked out!!! Costa Penwortham is my home Costa I travel all over the country in my job and no Costa uplifts you like this one so for the Manager to walk out tells me Costa don’t get what it’s all about. Staff our now de motivated and you can feel everything they have built up in terms of a welcoming and positive atmosphere is now dwindling away. Costa management hang your heads in shame.
