Really disappointed- me and my partner have been once before and we absolutely loved it. This was around a year ago. Popped in recently and I am shocked at how downhill it has gone. My partner was brought her meal first, eggs benedict, without cutlery. We waited around ten minutes before having to go into ask for something to eat it with- regardless of them not providing the cutlery with the meal, it is rude to eat before others at the table and we had to wait a further ten minutes for my meal , at that point I had told her to start eating before it goes too cold. My meal arrives and comes with it a whole extra plate of food, which I had been charged for without my knowledge, the waitress claimed that it was the black pud meal that I had ordered. I ordered a side of black pudding, which she repeated back to me to confirm it was a side when I had ordered it at the counter. Anyway, with both plates being there I asked if she could just leave the black pudding sides and she could take the rest back as I did not order the rest, to which she seemed very hesitant and asserted that she had to take the plate back to then bring out my black puddings which where on the said plate? It makes absolutely no sense. My meal was also cold on arrival and the blackpudding where under cooked. I recived my refund today, but I am disappointed I did not receive any sort of apology or discount for their mess up and I am just generally upset both from this experience and for the business as it used to be absolutely lovely. I hope someday your business can get back to how amazing it used to be. Thank you...

I've visited many times usually with my family and there's 6 of us. We are usually able to be accommodated although it can be difficult to get a table as it's a popular spot with delicious coffee, cakes, ice cream and cooked brunch offerings.

I nearly forgot to take a photo of the food on my last I was too quick to tuck in to my granola bowl so apologies for the licked spoon but the Smashed Avo that came for it son looked so well presented that I had to take a picture. My granola was so tasty and filling and my son said that his food was "banging" which I think means that it was thoroughly lovely....

I've had most of the meals on the menu and most of the cakes (of which there's an ever changing selection) and the ice cream is also deliciously creamy with lots of flavours to choose from.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming and, the best bit is that because it's dog friendly there's often lots of beautiful...

Waited 20 minutes for a coffee and orange juice, 45 minutes for food. The advertised halloumi toast had 2 very thin strips of it, mushrooms had no taste unfortunately- reminded of of mass buffet mushrooms just steamed sat in a pan for hours… Scrambled eggs were disappointing as they were literally just scrambled no milk etc like most decent cafes do them. Food and drinks were coming out so slowly it was painful to watch/wait. I’ve been brunching a lot recently but this was one of the worst breakfast I’ve had in a good while.. would definitely recommend owners to go visit a few places and get the chef trained up better & better system than just 1 girl making drinks on a buys day while other staff could have easily helped. On a positive side staff were friendly, coffee & sourdough was nice and place is clean but unfortunately it’s not enough to make me want to come back as the competition has set its bars...

Visited for the first time today - we ordered 2 x full vegetarian breakfast (forgot to take photos)...followed by 2 x chocolate muffins and 2 x pots of tea. The bill totalled approx £36.00 - and therefore, I could only visit as an occasional treat. Reservations aren't taken. People were arriving and leaving as every table was occupied throughout my stay. Dogs are welcome and can be served 2 x sausages and a puppachino for £2.50. Parking can be difficult as there are no allocated spaces and use of residential side roads are a must. The cafe was bustling, 2 X staff on duty who were efficient, friendly and helpful. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The establishment was kept clean and tidy. There is an available indoor toilet, outside seating under a canopy and wheelchair access is possible. I would recommend The Cow Shed and do intend to visit again.

Well what can I say! We had a delicious brunch at our first but definitely not last visit to the Cow Shed. We had the portobello mushroom, halloumi, sauteed onions, poached eggs, hummus on sourdough. The coffee was fab to from a local roaster, Caldera. It was one of the best brunches we have had...and we have had a few! The cakes baked on the premises was delicious too, we had the coffee and walnut cake and the sticky toffee cake. You must all pay them a visit!!

this was my first time going here and i would definitely return. i was unsure on what to go for but ended up choosing the bagel with egg, bacon, brie, caramelised onion and rocket. it was to die for, there was nothing i would have changed it was perfect! the portion was a great size and i left feeling full but not in a groggy way. the staff are so lovely and really helpful. the prices are fair and honestly great value for what you get. amazing place!
