Swing and a miss. We’ve seen the boards when walking past and always fancied it so we popped in asking for the “chicken tikka masala hot rice box with onion bhaji mix, peppers and a grilled naan” that was on the board in the middle of the street. My other half asked for 2 of those. The 2 young ladies serving us seemed completely oblivious to what we were on about. Due to the shop being busy, I stepped outside to wait. After a while, my other half came out to tell me that she had to repeat the order and describe it to them, then found we only got 1 serving instead of 2. We managed to get another one and paid again. We got 2 lattes with it. The lattes were half full, our “hot” rice box were fridge cold, didn’t have the peppers or the naan in. What bit of latte we got was not good quality unfortunately. Maybe we’ll try again one day but this wasn’t a good first impression. The food was alright after heating through at home.

The food here is of good quality, good portion, and for a decent price! I got the Honey Chilli Chicken on brown Barm with lettuce, tomato, and red onion 7/10. Absolutely delicious and for £3.90! I also got myself a slice of the rocky road and cornflake cake. The rocky road was nice and not too sweet, though the base was a bit too crumbly 7/10, while the cornflake cake was too sweet for my taste and slightly messy with its stickiness though that can be avoided with a tissue 5/10. The staff are friendly and welcoming

Well, this was a happy find! Finally a place to get breakfasts made with good quality ingredients! Loads of combinations to choose from. The only thing missing seemed to be mushrooms, and it would have been nice to have been able to add one or two items to menu choices to avoid having to build entirely from scratch. Only suggestions, though - very happy to give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and to order again.

Well where shall I start. So decided to pop into the St helens Pickles to get a late lunch. Order 5 sandwiches. A nice lady asked what we would like, I asked for coronation chicken, so she went to have a look and never came back. Weird hey. Then as our sandwiches were being made, an older lady with dark short hair proceeded to wipe down the shelves above where our sandwiches were being prepared. Crumbs and who knows what going over our food. I said to the lady could you not do that as stuff from the shelves were going onto our sandwiches. She said it's ok as it's only breadcrumbs. Rude. Won't ever go there again. Such a shame cause the Pickles in Haydock is absolutely fantastic. St helens one I will no longer visit. Disgusting if you ask me. We paid for the food and hurried outta of there quick before ordering...
