I have been twice in a party. They cannot leave you alone to eat. I know it's an American thing but it's just over the top here. I ordered a Balti and it came as slop on a plate. What happened to the Balti Dish? The first time we went was on a Friday evening. I had King Prawn Balti £6.95 and the Prawns were massive, I think they were fake textured vegetable protein version. It was a big portion! The second time I went was a Sunday evening, I had Balti Exotica £9.95, this time it was with rubber lamb, grisly chicken and one fake prawn. The portion size had shrunk and I waited 10 minutes to get my two Paratha. I think they go all out to impress you first time around and cut the portion size when you return. I never have rice, because you don't know if it has been reheated! A definite No! No! The meal was a treat from my daughter for Father's Day. Her meal made her sick almost immediately. Saag Aloo or was it the reheated Pilau Rice? She asked for Vegetarian Samosas and was served meat one's! I am sorry, but this is not acceptable and my daughter is too polite to complain. I watched her go outside for some enriched nicotine air. Everyone stands outside smoking and it's off putting. The guy at the front counter caught my eye and he was washing glasses. I have worked in the Hotel and Catering trade for 20 years. Openly, on top of the counter were two white buckets. One for slops and one to dip the glasses into! He was dipping them, putting them on a serving tray wet and then using the same towel to dry them, that he was using earlier to wipe the sweat off his face! Then the glasses were placed on a shelf behind him, upside down. I find this practice somewhat disturbing, having acquired all my hygiene and COSHHH certificates over the year's. There is a risk of contamination of Ecoli, Listeria and MRSA. Not once in the 2 hours did I see him change the water or the drying towel. The shelf where the glasses were on was filthy too. There has truly been no investment in proper hygiene procedures. They do not take cards as payment. It is CASH ONLY! I am very disappointed because when is Poppadoms £0.60 each multiplied by 8 £6.80? I queried the bill and it was out by £5.00 in total. I couldn't get out of there quick enough, to get my daughter home before she...

Read moreFound the restaurant by chance, driving home from Wales and decided around this area we were hungry for curry. So quick search on google took us here. The place is small and needs a bit of TLC but the staff were so welcoming and accomodating. Its bring your own drinks but we just had water which came with bowl of ice and lemon too. The poppadums and chuntney tray came super fast and lovely and crispy and staff replenished the onions without having to ask. Positive for us. My hubby asked for a more authentic homestyle curry and they obliged with suggestions and even checking he liked certain ingredients. I order the special Blue City and without coriander, again no issue. And my 5 yr old requested tandoori king prawns and rice and again they accomodated.as well as letting her have a pasanda sauce to try. All the food tasted fabulous, and they regularly checked all was well too. And packaged any leftovers to take away. Once we asked for the bill they gave my daughter a rose and chocolate treat to take away, and me a rose and mini wine spritzer too. Whilst not needed it was a nice offer. We eat a lot of curry and can say this was fantastic. Staff couldnt do enough to make sure we were happy. And it ws clear by others who came to dine they were regulars. We will definitely be back....
