Coffee Block — Restaurant in Stockport

Simply the best flat white I've had in the UK. I've passed this place a few times and thought it looked OK and was reasonably busy. But I'm very fussy when it comes to my flat white, so previously, walked on. Today we went in.

The lovely young lady who served me, game me such a warm welcome, I literally looked over my shoulder, thinking her granny must be behind me. Not the usual flat, "I hate my job" death stare. Instead a wonderful warm smile and cheery voice. Surprisingly, she seemed to actually enjoy her job! After she took my order, she said to take a seat and they'd bring it over. Curious, I shuffled along to check out what the earnest young guys making the coffee we're doing. Seeing my gaze, he asked if he could help. I asked what size the flat white cup was. When he showed me, I pulled a bit of a face, as I like a slightly larger cup. Sensing that, he asked and said, not a problem. In chatting, he told me they have their own blend. I commented I like Illy, but it's hard to find, as it's expensive. Ours is better he told me. Bold claim, I said. Well see. Got to give it to them it was. Great coffee and even rarer, lovely...

That was a lovely sandwich lol sorry for the half eaten sandwich and tostie!! We was toooo hungry lol, my first time coming to the coffee block I really like it it is a lovely place the chicken and bacon salad sandwich on the brown bread was tastyyy, plus that brew wow I know its half gone rubbish bloody reviewer i know!! but it was massive 2 pound odd it was it was a very nice brew big cups, i think that is a very very good price. The staff are lovely always want to do more for you always bring out the brews and food for you, even though i had a fresh sandwich the lady took it and put it on a plate for me and Brough it out with some napkins I just thought that was a nice little touch to my day, so thank you very much coffee block I will be back.... p.s I love the paint work for some reason I think the blue is just very nice I don't know why lol I just kept looking saying to my friends I really like the colour random i know lol rant...

We have been here so many times and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! I can safely say we love it here. Everything you want from a coffee shop is here. The food and drinks are lovely (we often have panini, cake and white/chocolate mocha) to which the servers know this now we have been so much! The staff are the nicest I have come across in this type of establishment which is a big draw to coming back. We purposely go into Stockport just to have lunch here. The only issue is trying to pick which of the yummy cakes to have! Not a bad issue at all! It is often busy at peak times, such as lunch, but I never feel it is a bother for the staff and this to me is a sign of a good place. I would highly recommend a visit (or 2!) if you are...
