Table of 4...Visited on Wednesday (table booked for 14:45) to take advantage of the 50% off food offer and was told that the kitchen didn't open till 15:00.
Nowhere online does it state that the kitchen will be open from 15:00. The blurb states "50% off food all day".. so we gave our drinks orders anyway as it was only 15 mins.
15:00 came and the two FOH staff members took peoples orders. At this point there was 2 tables of 2 in front of us in the queue.
A friend joined us 10-15 mins later and gave his food order straight away.
We then had to wait exactly 1 hour for our food to arrive and then when it did we were one 'meal' short - a loaded fries with bacon. This took 70 minutes to arrive.
We noticed that a few of our meals were sat under hot lamps for atleast 15 minutes.
When the food did arrive it was less than remarkable and not hot, apart from the loaded fried with bacon as these hadn't been sat under a lamp.
The bill was then incorrect as the 50% discount was not taken off the 2 lots of "3 small plates for £12" two of our party ordered. We worked out that they'd been overcharged around £4.50.
What if we had booked for 2pm? Would we have been made to wait an hour to order and then another 60-70 minutes to get our food?
All in all we were pretty disheartened by the experience. The place was dead so why it took 1+ hours to get us our fairly basic food is anyone's guess but we'll not return.
In hindsight we should have left when it maybe got to 45 minutes (is rhat long enough to wait?) and eaten elsewhere.
1 star given due to it being 50% off the food bill.
0 stars for the overall service...
Read moreWent here with high hopes and it did not meet the expectations. The reviews I had read, not the ones on google unfortunately, had me really wanting to come here and try the place. Unfortunately the only thing to say about the Godless place is that its soulless. we had the 2 cocktails for £12 and they seemed watered down , we had the 3 plates £12 to try and due to an error in the order on their part we had to wait for the chicken , not an issue as they said it wouldn't be long, however the chicken coating was a little burnt I assume due to trying to get them to us with the rest of the food. Toilet on approach smelt of mould and the old buildings in Stockport can be forgiven , however the men's loos had mould everywhere and I mean white , yellow and green mould on everything and the toilet door looked like it had been kicked in to free someone as when used and locked there is no way to open door again as I assume the mould has expanded the door. I wouldn't normally write this much but I think they need to try and up their game , unfortunately for them I will never go back and would strongly recommend that no ones else does either. Save your money go somewhere else in fact anywhere else...
Read moreWas excited to try but unfortunately wasn’t the best experience. Firstly the beer was flat, and at almost £7 a pint you’d expect it to be bang on. We took this up to let them know, they offered another beer, also flat. To which they responded that there was something wrong with the new smart keg system?! Nothing could be done so we had to just accept the flat beer. Then the food came, we ordered pulled chicken tacos, a house burger and fries. The fries were nice but that was about it. The burger, was ok but tiny! The tacos, for starters, these weren’t pulled chicken tacos, they were just slices of tasteless chicken breast that had been drown in sauce to the point the tacos become so soggy that they split. Could barely pick them up. And they were, no exaggeration, freezing cold. We saw how well the beer complaint went so there was no point in complaining again. Overall very disappointing. They didn’t ask how our meal was either so no point to give feedback. And also, the mens toilets smelt of mould and the leak was dripping on my partners head. We wanted this to be great, waited so long for some great tacos, unfortunately the wait continues. Don’t think we’ll be returning unless things...
