Great little restaurant/ takeaway. Myself and my girlfriend visited on a Sunday at 5pm and we were the only ones sitting in at that time but within our dine in, we saw many people come in for takeaways. Upon arrival we were politely given menus and told when we were ready to order, to do so up at the counter. As of 15/08/2021 their card machine isn't working so they are cash only at the moment, as they had a sign saying their card machine is broken I presume this isn't a permanent thing for the business. We had no problem paying cash though so this wasn't an inconvenience to us at all. We ordered a Tex Mex Chicken Burger Meal with a can of Diet Pepsi and sticky fries along with a Veg Wrap with a water and Peri-Peri fries. Both of which were great and came to £16.70, if I recall correctly. The chicken burger was amazing, tasted amazing and looked amazing. Chicken was lovely and the toppings all went together brilliantly. The sticky fries which are 'fries tossed in special spicy bbq sauce' were very nice, a bbq sauce which was on the sweeter side and stuck true to the sticky claim. My other half had the Veg Wrap which looked and felt very well filled, as well as very well wrapped, nothing was falling out the bottom at all. The 'veg patty' which was inside seemed to be a breaded patty mainly consisting of mashed potato, along with a few peas and sweetcorn by the looks of things. It was basically just a large potato croquette which was completely fine with both myself and my other half, they enjoyed it. It also came with salsa, 'jungle fry' (peppers and onions grilled in their 'special seasoning'), lettuce and mayo inside to spruce it up. The Peri-Peri chips were normal fries with a light dusting of spicy salt, not a whole covering of the spicy salt but enough for you to taste it a little, they're not quite as good as Nando's peri-peri fries, they're hard to beat. In full, we enjoyed our dine-in experience at Jungle Grill Stockport, it was a pleasant and yummy experience. We also thought the décor of the establishment was great, textured grey ceilings to mimic a jungle cavern, lights shining through bamboo poles, artificial candle lights with rope wrapped around them as if taken from a precarious rickety bridge in a rainforest and lots of artificial foliage on the walls, very jungle-y indeed. Can't really think of anything bad about our experience here so its a big thumbs up from both of us!

I've been going to Jungle for a couple of years now and have never been let down by them. The food is consistently great, staff polite and helpful, and the desserts wouldn't be out of place in a dedicated desserts restaurant (especially the cookie dough). I recommend the King Kong platter, the chilli cheese chips are godlike. The decor is nice, tables are clean and the smell of the food cooking is amazing. Think of this place as Nandos with much better pricing, arguably better (and wider selection of) food, and MUCH better desserts. My overall favourite restaurant in Stockport. To bring attention to the cookie dough again, this is the place. If you're as much of fiend for the stuff as I am, you owe it to yourself to try it here. It's better here than literally anywhere else I've ever tried, especially considering the price. I can't put my finger on it but something about the vanilla ice cream is just better than other places too. Special mention to the one of the exceptionally pleasant staff members Chloe, who has always taken care of us and always makes sure our cookie dough is perfect, thanks Chloe!

Im a repeated happy customer, food has always been on point. The freshness and full of flavour, I often take the left overs home and the chicken tastes just as amazing the next day. I have experienced eating in as a diner with family and friends. Customer services is a amazing, they definitely have patience for young children, my middle child is Special needs but staff went the extra mile with him. I cant praise Abdullah enough, very quick and very polite. The restaurant as a whole is very clean, amazing staff and delicious food with great atmosphere. I have a few food allergies and they were taken care of when taking my order. For a long time I have been a takeaway customer but do recommend eating in if u have time. Most importantly they are child friendly. Thank you for the lovely food and amazing services Osama and Abdullah. Will be visiting again soon.

Ordered here at 8:20pm on Saturday night. Order took a long time to arrive. We had ordered two ‘desert inferno burgers’ and one ‘mixed steak burrito’ with peri chips. The two chicken burgers were STONE COLD and the burrito warm at best. Now, I had put a note in the order to ask the restaurant if they would take extra care in ensuring the meals were hot, as the last time I ordered, our food had to be reheated. So this is NOT the first time we have had this issue. However, it’s a local restaurant and we’re supporting our local shops during the pandemic. I called the restaurant, expecting for them to do what any restaurant with the expected level of customer service would do, apologise and replace the order with fresh (hot!!!) burgers/burrito. They denied all responsibility and basically told me it wasn’t their fault and it was Uber’s fault, to which I responded that ‘the chips were hot, but the burgers and burrito were cold, so it’s not a delivery issue’. The guy on the phone continued to take absolutely zero responsibility for anything. I just think that, as they were nearing closing time, they’d pre-prepared the food, hence it being cold. This is not how to treat paying customers who altogether have put £200+ in orders into your restaurant since lockdown started. I made it very clear that I wasn’t happy with the level of service, the quality of the food and the way in which he was refusing to deal with the situation, so I asked to speak to the manager, to which he asked me for my phone number and promised a manager would call me back the next day. I have received NO phone call. What an absolute shame that you’ve lost a customer due to your customer service team not upholding their promise. I would have been happy for a manager to contact me as promised to discuss this privately, but as it stands I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Ordered Saturday from the Stockport branch and...

We ate here on 27.7.19. We reserved a table for 2.45 but showed up at 2pm but they said it was no problem, the man who seated us was great, very nice & helpful. He gave us our menus & told us to come up to the counter to order.

I had the Parmesan Chicken with mash, medium spicy. OH had the King Kong Platter with chips. The food was brilliant but I have to add, what this place does with potatoes is magic! OH's chips were topped with a delicious chilli cheese, gorgeous. Honestly, I think I would order just the mash as a meal. They were buttery, herby goodness!

The medium spicy Parmesan chicken came already cut up, it had a good tomato flavour & lots of cheese. It got a bit hotter as I ate, but it was really good. His burger was good, but it had a smokey flavour - I love smokey, he isnt a fan but he still said it was good.

Total cost for two mains & starter was £21.97 which I think is good value. During this heat wave the dark, cool, cave-like interior was SO NICE to sit in! Even the family of 8 with small loud children that were seated next to us didn't really affect our experience....though we could have done without them lol.

A couple of small negatives, VERY small: one of our hard-wood like menus was too worn down to read, I'd throw out any worn down menus, especially with the low lighting. Lastly the table we sat at was wobbly, I'd fix the wobbly tables. It was awkward trying to eat with a bit of a seesaw situation.

Great place, lovely staff, very helpful & polite. Fantastic food! I...
