Ordered my regular BBQ melt and it arrived with zero base/sauce and barely any toppings. Ever had pizza without any sauce on it? It's not a great experience. But hey, these things happen, right? So I called to resolve and staff told me they'd "pass it on to the kitchen, and wouldn't be assisting any further because I ordered via UberEats and they don't get paid for another 4 weeks so my issue is with them"??? Ever heard the phrase "don't shoot the messenger?". They then proceeded to lecture me that they don't actually put sauce on the melts. If that's the case, why have I had sauce every other time I've ordered? Plus there's no way this is meant to be served dry just bread, cheese & (barely any) toppings. Because I've ordered this exact meal several times in the past from the Newcastle branch and had no issues. The service from this branch was unacceptable and has left me without any Dinner, as I refuse to eat what is basically a dry folded pizza. Really disappointed as I previously frequented the Hanley branch and actually thought really highly of them. Clearly there's been a change of staff. God help them as the kitchen staff must be half asleep to forget to sauce a pizza, and management obviously aren't interested in helping. Guess that's Ubers fault though? Thankfully my partners melt was fine (it actually had sauce). However, we won't be making the mistake of ordering from here again. Shameful.
