Wow! What a positive friendly atmosphere it is in Spice Hut. The place is buzzing with happy expectations as customers make their orders and sit awaiting their food. This Brand New food hot house is immaculately clean and has been tastefully decorated in the company colours. The happy positive buzz in here is infectious. I found myself smiling and my mood lifted once inside. I didn't have a clue and a young man said "I can help you with your order if you like" as he sat next to where I sat to read the menu. He helped me and I soon made my order. I had lamb kebab on a sweet Naan Bread. With Salad and fries. And some garlic mayo sauce and some hot sauce I don't know the name of, no matter, it was lush. I was in a place that was high in excitement and anticipation. There was a positive friendly atmosphere inside. Respectful, happy unified in food. Spice Hut is on Uber Eats. My advice? Order the Lamb Kebab. I did and it was the most lamb tasting lamb I've had in my working memory. I can't explain it better than that. The lamb tastes of lamb and isn't overcome by any of the sauces. I also had sliced lamb in a very tasty "big softy" sub roll. I've taken a few photos which didn't bother anyone at all. The customers are as enthusiastic as those young men behind the counter. I was looked after with respect and good grace. They very quickly realised I'm almost deaf. And got closer and helped me understand. How cool is that to start with? Everyone in here was smiling or laughing and enjoying themselves. They all love the place. It's been open for five days. I stopped and looked in as there was such a positive vibe going on outside and across the street. This will soon be a community hub. The owner spoke to me to check all was ok. The manager spoke to me for the same. The manager was expediting every inch of the way pulling everything together ensuring the service was top notch and the food served quickly. He was very good at it . The young lads serving made sure to engage with me and explain how long it would be. And asked did I like my food spicy hot or medium. We worked it out. Absolutely incredible. Ordered the £16 House Special Box you can choose your spice level (I chose hot, obviously) and it just delivered on every level. You can tell it's all made fresh because of how long it takes to come out about 30-40 mins but honestly I'd wait 10x that and be perfectly happy. Initially I thought the box was a little small for the money but they do cram a ton of food in there. Mix donner was the best donner I've ever had hands down the sauce was so spicy and flavourful and the meat itself was just perfection. The smash burger quite reminded me of Five Guys but muuuch cheaper and better too, it was quite soft and my teeth just sunk through much faster than I expected but it was great. If you know Newcastle's Burger Drop, this smash burger was almost as good as theirs. Maybe the same level as they have different components. Nacho fries were a great pairing with the rest of the food, not as special as the rest of the food but it's not those which are just a pain to finish at the end of the meal, you look forward to eating them. Wings too were just fantastic and I can't say I've had better wings before, anywhere. Food arrived missing an item, i rang straight away was told that it gets sent out separately and to keep an eye on my door, 20mins later rang back as still hadn't arrived, i asked for a refund as the ribs should of arrived with the other food, the guy said he would issue a refund via online 3-4days! Totally unacceptable, first time using this place and the last!!! UPDATE!! 3 weeks later, still no refund, was told 3-4days then when that didnt happen i rang up was told the driver would drop my refund in either on the Saturday or Sunday, that didnt happen, got told the same again still didnt bring my refund, its just absolutely ridiculous, this was the very first time i had ordered from these, but once you filter through the FAKE good reviews that clearly come from family or friends or paid reviews you can see the truth, this is an awful place, mediocre food (naga meat was like the scraps from the bottom of the tray, missing items) with terrible customer service, staff members that lie to you and just hang up on you and dont even say hello when they answer the phone, just an all round CRAPPY place!!
