Nah, when it’s busy - the food is terrible. All the fish are fried beforehand so it’s not cooked to order, understandably to serve the long queue during the weekend. I thought it was one of the best f&c I have tasted but when it’s busy it’s just not. The fish is fresh though but fried in thick soggy batter that you just want to peel off the dish and discard. The chips was also soggy. And when you order a large cod they give you a medium plus small sized pieces of fish rather than a proper large cod which would taste much better with chunks of fish. Unfortunately it was a bad day.

Really good fish and chips. Not as oily as others. Chips are flavourful. I went for the cod and chips in a cardboard box, enough to share for 2 which costed £8 with two dipping sachets. Got lucky for fresh batch of chips as food was piping hot. Price wise ok as cod and chips in London would cost £9/10+. But the amount of fish given wasn’t that much, more batter. They even had special haddock and chips which would probably be better deal. Good and attentive service, wear masks and safety distance. Highly recommend for fish and chips if you visit Margate.

Seriously, the best fish & chips shop. The shop is so tiny but there are always queues out there. I guess just that on it's own tells a lot about a shop. Everyone needs to grab a meal from Peter's Fish Factory at least once in their lifetime. They have a variety of fishes to chose from, all fresh. And when it comes to the taste, the fish literally falls appart as you eat it (that's a good thing) and it's not greasy at all. After having a couple of bad experiences in other places I didn't think it was possible, but I had to change my mind.

Great value in terms of price. Medium cob for only £4.60 (without chips), add regular chips for another £2+. Tastes good and staff is nice. The only downside is the queue took really long wait. We spent literally 1 hour to wait for roughly 15 groups of customers before us. It's good and consider the price it's definitely great value. If there is no queue or really short queue (like 5 groups of customers or less) definitely go for it, but if there is a long queue, it's probably not amazing enough to wait for an hour in my personal opinion.

Fantastic fish and chips and the best place to go in Thanet! I've been here several times over the years and it never seems to disappoint. Beautifully seasoned chips, with a perfect chip shop texture and the fish is always cooked to perfection. It's delicate, delicious and coated with a devine crispy batter every time without fail. On this occasion I ordered the haddock and chips special for just £5.95! Great value for money and great tasting food. Get yourself down to Peter's Fish Factory if you haven't done so, it's a game changer!

Peter’s Fish Factory is an iconic spot for fish and chips in Margate! We tried their cod fish with large chips, accompanied by gravy and mushy peas. The fish was fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious, while the chips were fried to perfection—crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The gravy was the real highlight, adding a rich flavor that elevated the meal, and the mushy peas were tasty and well-seasoned. Highly recommend this place for a classic seaside treat!
