I ordered the vegan burrito, but was served a veggie one with dairy cheese. When it arrived, the burrito had a “veggie” flag, so I asked the server if it was definitely vegan. She said yes. At first I didn’t notice any cheese, but halfway through I realised there was real cheese melted inside. I raised this with the bar staff, who brought over the manager. He took it to check with the chef and came back saying the chef was “almost certain” it was vegan cheese, and that their vegan cheese is very high quality and realistic. He offered to bring me a new one and refund the meal, and insisted on giving me a free pint — which felt like they were trying to smooth things over rather than actually acknowledging the mistake. Also the refund was never actually issued to my card. The second burrito came with a “vegan” flag, and the cheese was clearly vegan this time. I’m allergic to dairy and have a skin condition which flared the following day — a clear sign the first one was not vegan. I understand mistakes happen, but this was handled very poorly. I would’ve much preferred they just admitted the error instead of brushing it off with vague reassurances and a beer. This kind of handling is dangerous for people with allergies and shows a lack of care when it comes to dietary requirements. On top of that, we ordered and paid for a round of pints, including a “Daytime IPA.” After being told multiple times they were changing the barrel, we were finally informed 15 minutes later by a senior member of staff that they don’t even sell that beer anymore. So we were charged for a non-existent drink and left waiting under false pretences. Emailed them about all of this and haven’t recieved any response.

Wow what a gorgeous place! Myself and my friend went to Revolucion de Cuba in Belfast on a Thursday evening. The staff who greeted us at the door was so pleasant with telling us the specials that were on for that day which was 2 for 1 cocktails and 2 for 1 Tapas. Myself and my friends eyes were a bit too big for our stomachs and got 7 tapas dishes as we wanted to try the menus variety (aka. Wanted to try a bit of everything). We got the fried chicken, gambas pil pil, bbq pork tacos, chicken taco, croquettas, patatas bravas and the loaded nachos. Wow wow wow, did we struggle finishing all this but I’d recommend trying the tapas menu. I’d recommend the croquettas, gambas pil pil and loaded nachos. What beautifully presented dishes. The tacos in my opinion were quite bland, there was no sauce or anything with them (we did not finish the tacos). And the bravas were okay! For cocktails, we got the spicy margarita and the raspberry mojito (two each and swap, obvs) and wow what gorgeous cocktails. We had to get two more margaritas. Altogether the bill was £65.50, with £42 off because of the deals. What amazing value for such a great experience. Specifically on Thursday, the service was fabulous and the live music was amazing. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice cocktail in Belfast for good value and for some nibbles as well. Absolutely 100%

I went as a birthday treat with my husband we were booked for brunch at 4.30 we did arrive at 4.35 due to me having broken ankle. we stood waiting an no one approached so we went back out to the door as there was a man out there speaking to a lady an he then helped us an apologised we sat down and the waiters an waitress walked passed us numerous times it was then near 5 pm before our drinks order was taken and then again almost 15 mins after that for our food and our first drink took ages it still hadn't arrived when our food order was being took so the young lady went to find out and they eventually arrived the young fella was very helpful and apologised for how long it was taking out drinks as we waited near 15 mins for them after ordering so he was nice an took our order when we were half way down the drink meaning we were not waiting as long because if he hadn't done that I don't think we would of even got 3 drinks served. the food was beautiful and we definitely will be back for that. I then had booked us a table from 6pm-8pm we explained this to one of the waiters he then came back and said it was no problem we could keep the table we had so we ordered another round of drinks and I went to the loo only to come back to be told we had to move which a little annoying as 20mins before we were told it was ours for the rest of the evening. we then moved to another table about 10 steps from the one we were at which to be fair made no sense as it was the same size table ect but we moved only to be approached again after maybe 15 mins to be told we needed to move again at this point I did politely explain that I would not be moving as that would then be the second time and that we had booked a table from 6-8pm which was explained the first time and we were moved to this table which I assumed was the table that I had booked for that time the young girl left an went to the computer area at the front door and they were looking and speaking she then came back and said it was OK we could sit were we where. this did tarnish our visit a little as I have been to a few bottomless brunch 2 of which have been 3 times s busy and the sped of service was alot better and alot more organised. the staff that we delt with were all lovely and friendly. Also there is a 10% service charge was added to our bill with out us knowing or being explained. I didn't realise until after my husband had paid and I looked at the bill because this was a bottomless brunch I knew what the total bill should of been after the deposit was paid. I don't think this should be added on to a bill with out it being mentioned I understand it does say on the bill but alot of people are embarrassed and would not like to say no and it was only a table of 2 most places only add a service charge when over a table amount...

From the moment I stepped foot into Revolución de Cuba in Belfast, I was whisked away on an unforgettable journey- one that didn’t just transport me to the vibrant streets of Cuba but also made me feel as though I’d been welcomed into the heart of Havana itself. It wasn’t the rum cocktails (though they were perfect), nor the salsa beats (though they definitely added to the magic) that did it - no, my friends. It was the extraordinary service of Jane, who embodied the spirit of Cuba and made the entire experience feel like a warm, tropical embrace.

As I entered, a subtle hum of lively chatter mixed with the faint clinking of glasses and the promise of adventure. But, wait - what was that? A soundtrack to my arrival? Yes, there it was—imagine it: the distant notes of trumpets, the kind you’d expect to hear as a celebration of life itself. I was met with this musical fanfare as if the universe itself had decided to throw me a fiesta! It felt like a grand entrance straight out of a film, but I quickly realized the star of this show was Jane.

The welcoming energy she radiated was pure sunshine wrapped in a human form. “Hola, darling! Welcome!” she greeted, her enthusiasm contagious. Her smile was the first thing to melt away any worries I had, and her genuine warmth had me feeling as though I was a longtime friend visiting from afar. It wasn’t just “good service” - it was art.

And then... THEN Jane made my day in a way I never expected: She complimented my party dress. Let that sink in.“Ooh, you look absolutely stunning, darling - your dress is as vibrant as a Havana sunset!” Now, I'm no stranger to compliments, but this one - this one was delivered with such sincerity and joy that I actually felt like I was a part of the celebration. It was the kind of compliment that made me twirl (yes, I twirled!) in the middle of the restaurant, feeling as fabulous as if I had just stepped onto a dance floor in Cuba’s finest salsa club. The dress was, without a doubt, my favorite piece in my wardrobe, and Jane’s words made me feel like I belonged in the heart of Cuba - not just for the evening, but for the experience itself.

So, here’s to Jane… the woman who made my night sparkle brighter than the sequins on my dress! You are the heartbeat of Revolución de Cuba Belfast. Every establishment needs a Jane, because, quite frankly, Jane isn’t just part of the experience - she is the experience. With a personality as warm as the Cuban sun and a knack for making guests feel like royalty, I’m sure I’ll be returning not just for the food, but for the joy that Jane effortlessly brings to every moment. Viva...
