Coffee Aroma — Restaurant in Vale of White Horse

This morning, two of us visited your café, Coffee Aroma. According to the menu, a Full English Breakfast was listed at £8.50 per portion. We ordered two Full English Breakfasts, one coffee, and a cup of hot water. However, when we paid, the total was £23.80.

We asked the staff about the pricing, and she told us that one English breakfast costs £10, the coffee was £3.80, and the hot water was free. We were confused and went back to our seats to double-check the prices on the menu.

A little later, another staff member brought us our food. I asked her again about the price difference, and she said she would get back to us with an explanation. Unfortunately, she never came back, even after we finished eating.

This experience left us feeling quite uncomfortable. It's not about the amount of money—it’s the fact that the prices on the menu did not match what we were charged. Hard to describe the experience I had here. I ordered a milkshake and was served what was basically just a glass of milk with flavouring. It arrived together with the other two drinks my table ordered, with no explanation of which was which, leaving us to guess whose drink was whose. The price you pay for the food does not match the quality we received, overcooked chips and hash browns. The service was equally disappointing; the staff member seemed determined to set a record for the least possible customer interaction....

Person taking our order didn’t seem to care much. It took about 30-45 mins to just get our hot drinks, and a further 30 minutes to give us food we ordered an hour previously. Even then they forgot to give us part of our meal. And got that wrong too - order cheesy chips and was given greasy chips instead.

We were challenged by the staff when we went to see if we can get the cheesy chips order corrected.
