Chimes Sandwich Bar — Restaurant in Wakefield

Started working in Wakefield 2 months ago and since then I've been on the hunt for the best sandwich shop for my lunch. This little café, hand's down is the BEST.

First of all, the staff are lovely...super friendly, very approachable and have been quick to take my order each time.

I've had a couple of breakfast sandwiches from here and they've been fresh, perfectly cooked TOP quality bacon, lovely runny egg. Today I had a large ham and cheese salad sandwich, my go too...one of the best I've ever had! You know when that salad is fresh and I'm telling you now...it was FRESH! Ham is good quality, bread was fluffy...a clean bite! Can't praise the ingredients highly enough...and the portion size is unreal value for money (you could put the prices up!).

This is bar far the best bacon and egg sarnie I’ve had in 35 years of construction work. I cannot believe I didn’t know it was here. Outstanding. No fat on the bacon, egg nice and runny and bread cake fresh as snow. Can’t wait until we’re working in Wakefield again I will definitely make a bee line for this shop. Sam and co are literally the most inviting warmly sandwich cafe in Wakefield. Wether your staying in to dine or takeaway I've been coming here absolutely years possibly 19 years in total.
