Sunset Goa — Restaurant in Wakefield

Had a take away from here previously but this time ate in with my partner. It was quiet when we arrived and the two guys waiting were very friendly and attentive. We ordered two poppadoms each which arrived with 8 different sauces, all very nice and tasty. Then we decided to have a special tawa which was to be eaten inside only and not available for take out. It was a set meal for two and was priced at £22. As can be seen in pic, there was plenty of food along with a plate of salad and two jugs of sauces, also very nice. My favourite were the chunks of fish delicately spiced but so juicy and tender. Also on the tray were a lamb chop each, seekh kebabs, two different curries, pilau rice, chicken wings and plenty of naan bread. It was superb and so fresh. Beautiful food!!! We used to go to Rice and Spice as their starters were amazing. We were reluctant when we turned up the other evening as we didn't know it had been taken over. We thought we would give it a try. Whilst sat waiting to order, I looked at the reviews, mostly 5 star apart from one. So we were open minded. This was by far the BEST Indian food we have tasted. We love a good curry weekly and have tried many restaurants. We attended the restaurant twice the week after the food was that good. We were shocked at the 1 star review as the staff were so professional. We were also offered complimentary tea, coffee or a Baileys at the end of our meal. This is a little gem. Went here after a few drinks in wakefield.. the service was 11 out of 10 the guy (so sorry I forgot your name) but the dude that looks like the weeknd.. outstanding service, couldn't do enough for us. The food came out quickly stuff on the pickle tray I've never tried before. Unfortunately for me I picked a dish that I couldn't handle the heat in which was such a shame because I could tell it was a fresh and lovely dish. But I was given a complimentary lassi to put the fire in my face out! And a free baileys! Definitely worth a visit I know we will be returning.. keep up...
