I am a pizzaholic and always on the hunt for new places to try. I found The Pizza Yard by accident. It’s kind of tucked away as in not glaringly obvious, so if you weren’t looking for it then you may not know about it. It’s an absolutely gorgeous little place. Very busy, but clean and tidy. It is small as in building size but it's not small for the amount of tables. There's definitely space in there to feel comfortable, where you're not crammed in. I don’t tend to eat from somewhere that has a low number of reviews, as I feel that it’s most likely for a good reason, but always check the photos as they can speak louder than words and then on to the reviews. I knew on this occasion I was going to be trying the food here. I would recommend booking a table otherwise you may not get one. If you are wanting a take away then I would definitely call to ask what the average wait time is ahead of actually placing your order so you can work around it. It is collection only as no delivery service. I was given 10% off as I was collecting, as opposed to eating in, and that was a super cool added bonus. I take my pizza and garlic bread very seriously 😋 and I was blown away by this place. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Front of house/serving were Jenny and Josh. In the kitchen were Ben, the owner and Joe. I ordered a Margherita pizza, garlic bread and fries. There was meant to be a longer wait time but the food was ready early. I waited outside in my car and Jenny actually came out to let me know it was ready earlier than anticipated, which was very thoughtful. The food was piping hot and looked amazing. The base was soft with a good crisp bite and large crusts (my favourite 😍). I ate way more than I intended as it was just too good. If you have a long is drive home, I’d definitely suggest that you pop it on a low oven setting for 5-10 minutes, as I feel that it wouldn’t do it justice if it was eaten luke warm. When I was placing my order, I did see plates of other food being taken to customers and it all looked delicious. I would most definitely highly recommend The Pizza Yard for the lovely staff, cleanliness and scrumptious food.
This is a crazy long review but it...
Read moreSo we went here for a brunch with about 12 girls of us the restaurant wasnt overally too busy but it was ok we was getting drinks they was very watered down, which I also pulled the manager Ben up on this I wasnt rude or anything but at first I thought he was quite rude to me as I just said the drinks are very watered down to which his reply he went and tried a drink which i had got which it never looked like the drink and it tasted like pure pop but then secondly all the drinks tasted like pop was also very warm too I do get he was also under staffed which isn't his fault but then why accept a big booking if you cant do the booking it was also very rushed as there was a party coming in which we all thought that was really rude as I state agin there was 12 of us so a big booking either way.we was really disappointed and its a shame as we had been here a few times before the food had totally changed too just really disappointing if you ask me I dont normally write reviews but also its a shame as all the girls said were not going back here and we know alot of groups who love brunch so we also recommend but unfortunately I wont be recommending here in future and last of all my friend had 3 drinks she asked for another when it wasnt time to leave we still had time which was disappointing too so overall not a good review like I say disappointing as we have been here few times before. Really really disappointed...
Read moreAccidentally discovered this place yesterday and we are kicking ourselves that we didn't find it sooner.
Even from the conversation on the telephone booking our table, you could tell this was going to be a great dining experience. Everyone was friendly, informational and you could tell they were passionate about the food they make.
We opted for the Family dining experience and let the Chef prepare a selection of dishes. We advised them of our dietary requirements and what flavours we enjoyed.
From there, we were served some of the best Italian food we've ever had. You could taste how authentic the ingredients were. There was more than enough food supplied. And the flavours were excellent.
It was also nice to speak to Ben and hear about the inspiration for each dish and where the ingredients were sourced from.
We asked a lot of questions about how they make the pizza, what kind of ingredients they use and how they make it, the team were happy to explain everything in detail. It was such a nice friendly experience and we can't really faut any part of our experience. Apart from maybe a lack of armchairs to nap in after we ate way too much food.
This place is an absolute hidden gem and we will make this our regular...
