Absoloutly disgusting staff member. If i could give zero stars i would. I brought my 11 month baby boy in there, we sat down, about 10% full the place was even if that.

This waitress, 40-50 year old lady ( dark curly hair & glasses ) proceeded to tell me that I had to sit in the corner which was a so tight and squeeze to which I politely declined and had said we will stay here. Her facial expression were eye rolling and tutting, it was that bad you couldn't write it. Her derrogotary and disgusting attitude towards myself was totally inappropriate. Even other customers found her attitude appalling. I said how can you talk to a paying customer especially one with a small baby in such a lousy attitude to which she replied 'how can i talk to a woman like that' . I was in shock.I got up and headed out but before I did I requested to speak to the manager who stood shyly in the back.

Eventually she came and I had explained every thing but the manager unbelievablely minimilised everything . Unreal, I've never disrespected anyone and for someone to be so disrespectful towards me whist i was with my baby boy,and being ex forces who've served this country and have been through alot, as an employee of this business was absoloutly disgusting and shameful and if the owner is reading this right now I hope you understand what is exactly going on within...

We visited with my 81 year old Dad for him to have an ice-cream on the front. We managed to park right outside which was great. We could see that they were packing away some of the tables and chairs- which was fine - it was around 4.30. But - they were still serving and there were still people sat at a few tables. We ordered 2 ice cream sundaes - which cost us £15!!!! My husband went to get another chair and was told in no uncertain terms that he couldn't have one! He was told that they were packing away and told that we'd have to sit on the concrete bench! Which after paying £15 for 2 crappy sundaes that took almost 20 minutes to make and came served in a plastic drinks cup - seemed a bit rich. We did get another chair - the people at the next table gave us an empty one from their table and were as shocked as we were at the rudeness. They said that there was absolutely no need to have been spoken to like that! If I hadn't already paid for the sundaes - we would have left - and after seeing the very poor effort - I wish that we had!

This was our first time visiting. It will also be our last. So...

Not a place I will visit again. I used to visit this coffee shop once a week but visited time before last and wasn't impressed with the service, had small hairs that looked like someone had been shaving in my child's milk (disgusted beyond words-even waitress was appalled) & standard of food not great especially for the price. Visited again as everywhere else on the front that's decent was heaving and more fool me. Had my 2 young children with me and you could tell by the staff faces that they preferred their older clientele! Went to the counter that was empty to order to be told sharply she was serving. 5 minutes later man came back to have a good old chat with her before he decided to order a coffee. Eventually took my order without a thank you or smile on her face. Tea cake arrived burnt that I had to send back as for the children and they forgot my hot drink, funny as 3 were behind bar just talking!!! Not impressed and will definitely not be returning, I'll wait for a table in one of the nicer cafes on the front. Such a shame as used to be so lovely but not anymore, not...

Lovely cafe full of a large amazing range of cakes you wont be disappointed . Drinks a big selection of hot and cold, ice creams, toasties , but it can be very busy. You wont get much change out of £15 when getting two cake and 2 hot drinks. But it's worth a treat by the sea in the glass cafe. Easy access but no room inside for wheel chairs its quiet close tables so room for buggies in the isles but lots of tables outside to sit and enjoy the sea and watch time stand still and relax.. Great staff very fast and very clean tables inside and outside .. No toilets but opposite is toilets the grand pavillion are toilets outside down the steps or inside easy for wheel chair or buggies there .

Basically a glass box on the promenade allowing lovely sea views. Very compact so good luck if you have a pushchair or wheelchair. No bathroom which was inconvenient The chocolate sundae was not good. There was barely any chocolate, incl. only one tiny piece of brownie, and it was mostly cream which did not taste good. The whole thing was bland. The woman on the till was also not particularly friendly. I ordered for 5 people and it came to almost £50 and she just looked annoyed that my order was long. A smile wouldn't hurt. Would not return for the service nor food but I'd return (although unlikely) for a drink and the view.

Recommend this cafe it serves the best flat white coffee in the area and the nicest biggest freshest cakes! Lots of seating both inside and out with great views of the sea. Not far from the town of Porthcawl. This cafe is doing it's best with the restrictions in place by selling coffee and ice cream etc from its side window if you are not wearing a mask. You are allowed inside just to purchase not sit if you are wearing a mask. I would still highly recommend this establishment!
