Excellent value cafe, just note that it's cash only (I don't know if this is temporary or permanent). They will pop your order through first and allow you to go and get cash, easiest is across the road at tesco. Went with a friend, she had a full builders breakfast for only £5 as it was ordered before 10.30am. I had brioche french toast with strawberries and banana. I asked if I could have some scrambled eggs on the side, no issue. The food was gorgeous, soft and really thick bread full of flavour, topped with icing sugar. Also had a chocolate orange milkshake which was really strong as well and lovely. Lovely staff in the cafe, great service and very chatty. Happy to help. Seems to be a little hidden gem of a cafe, we'd not visited before. We were actually due to attend a different cafe for breakfast but arrived to find it closed so went here instead which seemed to be a major upgrade anyway we were well pleased with our visit. Loads of variety on the menu, can't wait to go back.

Imagine a hotel breakfast buffet. That's the best way I can describe Cafe 37. It's super cheap and you get huge portions but the food itself isn't the best tasting. It's not bad but it definitely won't blow you away. The restaurant itself is very cute ambience was well built with the music and signage on the walls. It's an order at counter type of restaurant from what I gathered so don't bother waiting for table service. The coffee was also the cheapest I've found in Cardiff so far for just £2.5 for a cappuccino. The venue was clean and the food came fast. Don't expect five star quality food but for the price it's definitely worth it. I spent £12.5 on my meal and it was huge.

Me and my bf decided to eat here as we were staying in an Airbnb on the same street as this cafe. We were very impressed with the range of options they offered. We got the Avocado Sourdough Bread and some sides of a sausage, hash brown and black pudding (Please note not there is two avocado and egg bread pieces. Just one is pictured in the photo). We came back here the second day here for a bigger breakfast this time and got the Smoked Salmon Toast and the Chocolate Chip Pancake Stack. I was very impressed with food, and how friendly the staff were. Would definitely come again.

It’s a shame I’m having to give this place 3 stars because my partner and I used to really enjoy coming here for breakfast quite a lot, however we stopped going a while ago, towards the end of September because we noticed that a female member of staff who’s there quite frequently was talking about us to some of the other staff. We knew it was us because she would be looking right in our direction while doing it, and it got to the point where we noticed her and one of the chefs doing it and not being subtle at all that they were talking about us. As I said before, a shame because the food is lovely and the rest of the staff are really friendly and attentive, but just one woman who seemed to take issue with us for no apparent reason has spoilt it as we do not appreciate being obviously talked about when we’ve regularly given somewhere...

Unbelievable quality! I was staying in travelodge above walkabout in city centre. On the 1st morning we had spoons but found this very inadequate after a heavy night out. The following morning, after another heavy night we decided to look online at what was available. Nothing was particularly close but cafe 37 was 0.8 miles away, after a short discussion as to whether or not the 25 minute walk would be worth it we decided to risk it for a chocolate biscuit and well, what a bloody fantastic decision it was, Arguably one of the best cafe breakfasts I've every had and should I return to Cardiff at any point ill certainly be back.

So in a nut shell, don't even 2nd guess the walk!...
