German Doner Kebab (GDK) — Restaurant in Walsall

the Doner is ok, from taste etc. a bit pricy. And I´m still asking myself why "German Doner Kebab". In Germany the "Doner Kebab" Restaurants are usually türkisch and not German so "Doner Kebab" has zero to do with being German. Yes we have a lot of this kind of Restaurants in Germany and yes I like a few of them. But still doesn´t get why "German Doner Kebab". Back to this restaurant. If I compare the quality and price to this kind of Restaurants in England than it is from the taste at 8-9/10 but because they want to be a "German Doner Kebab" in Germany it would be more a 6/10, like mentioned we have a lot of them so the competition is strong there. The size to price relation in England would be a 6/10 in Germany a 2/10. So over all the taste is good, one of the best I had in England so far but in Germany it would be nothing special and would be lost some were in the middle. Not bad enough and not good enough to remember. The price is higher than usual. The Doner Kebab is tastier than the usual in England, so the price is ok for England in Germany, I would visit the "German Doner Kebab" just ones and never again because taste would be there "normal" and the size of the portions would count as very small and very expensive for this size and quality. But like I said till now best Doner Kebab in England so still worth the 4 stars compared to others in England. Sorry I don´t want to say the whole food is better in German etc. because it´s not true. Our family's recent visit to This GDK Wallsall Branch was a major disappointment. We ordered donner boxes with fries, expecting a balanced meal, but were shocked to find the boxes containers mostly filled with fries and a meagre portion of meat. We ordered 5 Boxes and the £10 price tag per box felt like highway robbery for what was essentially just a box of Fries. I have seen other reviews as well with similar complaints so it looks like this branch has a habbit of being stingy & ripping customers off.

When I approached the staff to address this issue, I was met with unprofessional behavior. Instead of acknowledging their mistake or offering a solution, one employee responded with sarcasm, saying, "If you're still hungry, I can give you more meat." This dismissive attitude only added insult to injury.

While I've had positive experiences at other GDK locations, this particular branch in Walsall was by far the worst. The combination of subpar food quality, overpricing, and poor customer service has left a lasting negative impression. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this branch and would caution others against...

Ordered some food for take out the other day for the family then drove home and when we were eating, many of our items (3 OG kebabs and 2 doner boxes) contained raw chicken. As I live quite far i live in Wolverhampton so I was unable to drive back to return my food but we called up to the store and the girl on the phone who said her name was manprit was very very rude and told us there is nothing that they will do about it and hung up the phone. Very angry as I spent almost £60 of food that had to be chucked out. Have also recieved a £60 parking fine but was told by the same lady that parking was free. In total I have spent £120 for this visit and during this cost of living crisis Its unacceptable… Would rate 0 stars if I could. I am very appalled by the service i had experienced.
