Popped in for a quick pint after an impressively long day, and was very pleased to see that the standards here are as high as ever. A proper, quintessentially English pub, with perfectly kept beer lines, beautiful building and beautiful atmosphere to match.

Served by Rosie, my pint was the crisp relaxation in a glass I was hoping for. Delivered and then some.

pub opened at 11am on a sunday so got there for opening time and good job as pub soon filled up... we had full English came with pot of tea.. lovely service and lovely breakfast and nicely presented on plate. menu looked good and worth going back to try more off of it.. also we noticed few roast dinners coming out kitchen which again looked lovely and will be trying. so glad we tried here as...

I like it. it has the feel of an old school pub where blokes go fire a couple of pints after work. I went in the day and sat by a lovely fire with the dog at my feet. Pool table and decent looking food on adjacent tables. Not one for a romantic red rose valentines day but it was obviously popular as was heaving as I walked past in the eventing.
