First let me say I usually like weatherspoons, cheap and cheerful and you know what your getting. With that said this has to be the worst place to go try somewhere else unless your up to date with your hepatitis jabs.

I'll start with the state of the place every table was piled high with dirty plates, glasses and cups. We were there for a couple of hours and in all that time only 2 tables were cleared. With some comments to the staff our table was eventually cleared and cleaned but even that took some time.

There was food and other rubbish on the floor.

The toilets were in a state and the disabled one hadn't been cleaned all day there was nappies in the bin and it was over flowing. The upstairs toilets were all locked.

Now onto the food we ordered 4 different meals there wasn't 1 that came out correct or without n issue.

The first one came with a sauce, the sauce in the pot wasn't in the pot it was everywhere and when asked where the sauce was the young lady looked at us like we had 3 heads and was blind. If your going to serve a side sauce it's on the side not everywhere else. She did sort this one for us.

The second one was a child's meal if I wasn't convinced the fish was already dead the fact I could have hammered nails in with it would have had me convinced.

It's not like they didn't have the staff at one point there was 3 people just mincing about. When we mentioned this to the manager they were a jumped up moron who couldn't see anything wrong.

This was on the 11th Jan 2025.

You have...

Its a Saturday morning and, there is only one member of staff on the bar which is not enough when has to deal with drinks and table orders. I really felt for the 1 staff member on (Georgie) she was doing an amazing job on her own remaining calm even though the bar was over 10 people deep waiting to be served. I think it is disgusting this poor girl had to deal with everything on her own on one of the busiest mornings of the week. She was amazing polite and acccomadating desite the amount of stress she was under and,in my eyes should be given a bonus for her efforts. Its so disappointing to see she was on her own when the pub was filling up with customers eager for breakfast and drinks and complaining tables hadn't been cleared and service was slow. Whoever the manager is of the Witney branch needs sacking as they obviously are not capable of ensuring smoothe running of the establishment they are employed to run. If any of Weatherspoons HR department are reading this they really need to take heed and sack the manager and, ensure Georgie does not have to deal with all the stress she was put under ever again.

Georgie. You did an...

I've visited many Wetherspoons pubs, but this one has just the most awful service. My initial order was incorrect. The girl serving me told me that my two kids smoothies came with their meal. When their meal arrived I was told that I should have got them at the point of ordering. They did eventually get them. My Wife's burger arrived incorrect, but she just decided to eat it rather than have to wait for another one. When I went to order desserts, I was stood at a near empty bar for 10 minutes, before a lady just walked up and was about to be served. Only because I had to shout, did I get served before this lady. I really did think I was invisible for a few minutes. Then when sat down the server brought over the bowls of ice cream, something I hadn't ordered. Only to be told that this table DID order them. I had to explain that I didn't spend 10 minutes being ignored and £12, only to be given 3 kids bowls of ice cream. Eventually sense seem to prevail and our desserts arrived. Whilst I happily continue to go to my usual, and normally very good Wetherspoons, I'll be giving this one a...

Had a breakfast here and was lovely and for me the thing that let it down was the disabled toilet. The key was left in the door and a parent took her 2 children in which whilst I get it was easier for her, it's not there to take yr kids just cos you don't want to take them to the normal toilets. Oh and as a 'mother and baby changing room' you can't swing a cat let alone park yr wheelchair and transfer to the toilet easily due to nappy bins and the drop down changer. If a disabled toilet has a radar key opening then it should be locked and used by those who have a key and have real needs.

Absolutely ridiculous experience with staff. Poorly trained and arrogant. I’ve been there with my sister and three kids, ordered breakfast. They come to say they don’t have eggs, then they have eggs but not poached. I’ve waited more than 40 minutes to get an egg and bacon muffin in the end, and somehow they managed to burn half of it. Also they didn’t had milk for coffee. I feel I’ve been cheated as I paid for poached eggs and got a tiny muffin which I ended up eating it outside as the kids couldn’t stay that long. (They finished 20 mins before they brought my dish)

We were staying not too far from this spoons and wanted to add this one to the list. The food was a little cold on arrival but was nice. The toilets are upstairs, and the women need a good clean. The other half said the men's toilet was absolutely disgusting. Staff were rushed but friendly enough. It's a very short walk to the centre and lots of free parking around.
