New Brighton restaurant and bar — Restaurant in Wirral

I wasn't impressed when I called in for Sunday lunch. I called to check if I had to book. Was told it was £8 for a small Sunday. I got there and it was around £12, no small option. I went for a steak and Ale pie instead. Service at the bar wasn't the most professional. It was a lazy version of a steak pie. A stew with a puff pastry lid. Not a Propper homemade pie. The broccoli was under not hot, barely warm. The chips where undercooked. There was no decent real ale so I had a glass of wine which was around £8 for one glass. A very pleasant experience - and easy. Booked and confirmed online. Nicole greeted, seated and looked after the 6 of us. The roast dinners were really nice and there were a couple of veggie options. I took a birthday cake which Nicole looked after and brought out with candles lit at the appropriate time .. and sang! 😁 I couldn’t fault the experience in any way and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the place.
