We’re locals to this place but today visited it for the first time. It was a spotless experience. we were allocated a corner table as requested we were greeted in a friendly manner and with a smile we were provided a bottle of water for the table without even asking for it we were given enough time to think over what we want to drink glasses were provided nice and chilled and the gentleman kept topping Prosecco up without us asking - all these details which most places are missing, but I notice them starters - octopus salad and mix seafood platter were very tasty, and of a very good size, trust me you won’t be disappointed and we were very hungry :) before ordering main courses we asked a few questions about the menu and were given a detailed, honest and knowledgeable answer we picked a tuna steak and a sea bass and both mains were delicious and a good size - not too huge, not small, perfect. we shared one tiramisu between the two, which was homemade and truly delicious We thought the service was spotless and professional, dishes were cleared out of the table promptly, and we felt well looked after but the service was not intrusive. Also the gentleman said a couple of times - no rush, enjoy and take your time and also asked if we had a special occasion. Which we didn’t , we just like fine dining and have been spoilt a lot by good central London restaurants and like discovering new places, albeit we much prefer to stay loyal to those we already liked and I feel that this place would be one of those. I look forward to be coming back and try their cocktails and pasta! Ps - good Italian music and the vibe , you quickly forget you’re in Woking 😊 I do recommend this place without hesitation....
Read moreQuite possibly one of the best little restaurants in Woking.
A friend recommended it to us as one that could cater to special dietary needs. A short visit, a quick chat with Adam, one of the nicest hosts we have had the pleasure of being served by, and a plan was hatched. We would simply WhatsApp Adam the special needs of our party of nine and he and the chef would take care of us. One person with a gluten intolerance, one person lactose intolerant, another with a dislike of seafood, and one on a keto diet would have been enough to challenge most restauranteurs. Not Adam and his team. The next day they served up a feast that more than satisfied everyone. A steak that had one guest saying it was the best she had sampled in any UK restaurant. A large seafood stew that had another swearing it was the best she had tasted outside Italy. And a customised pizza that pleased even a fussy 10-year-old. Plus a variety of other dishes that rounded off a most satisfactory lunch menu.
A great finishing touch was a lovely voicemail from Adam thanking us for our patronage and inviting us to come back again soon. After this kind of service, we will definitely do so. It’s a pleasure to recommend this...
Read moreI wanted to like it but had an awful experience. Firstly there were 3 items unavailable on an already limited food menu. I ordered a cocktail and only on its arrival I was told they don't have mint for it (?!?). Food took 40 minutes to arrive and they gave my girlfriend a pasta covered with cheese despite her making it clear she didn't want any cheese due to lactose intolerance. The food itself when it finally arrived and was corrected was actually very tasty. However, when the bill arrived we saw they'd added £6 to the £9 pasta to make it a full portion. That wasn't conveyed on the menu nor when the waiter asked if we "wanted it as a main". Normally that just means it arrives with the other person's main. That turned it to a £15 Ragu which is London prices and certainly not fitting of a place with such poor service.
It's fine for a drink but I wouldn't go here again for food.
Update: it took a year to respond? Adam, you were the guy that served us on the day. You're the manager and made that clear at the time. I distinctly remember you. I do hope things improve but I've got no interest...
