Very disappointed with this Kokoro Woking brach. Went there with my wife, brother and sister inlaw few minutes ago and ordered 3 large chicken katsu curry and the 4th order was a noodle with sweet and sour chicken. First few bites on the chicken katsu curry, you’ll notice immediately that it’s very salty specifically the curry sauce. The 3 of us at first didn’t made any comment but after a minute or two, we started asking each other about the high salt level of the chicken katsu curry. I immediately approached one of the members of staff and told her if we can have it replaced because we cannot barely eat it anymore due to it’s high salty level. She went inside and spoke to her manager. Manager came out and said that she will call their office, few minutes later she went back to us and said that they don’t offer a refund, I said to her that we’re not asking for a refund but to just replace the 3 large chicken katsu curry with a different dish. She replied they don’t do that and just told me to complain to their website or online. The chef came out and spoke to us that there’s no one complaining about there chicken katsu curry that is very salty and even saying to me that all branches of kokoro are the same. I told her that it’s not all the same specially if I will compare the Camberley branch that their curry sauce is not as salty and the Farnborough branch that their noodles don’t have onions, so every branch is a bit different. She just ignored my comment and just told me to make a complaint online. In the end we just ask for the lid cover of our bowl to take home and make a remedy to reduce its saltiness. My wife ask for a plastic bag to take home the 3 large chicken katsu curry and the lady even charge us 10p for the bag. Very disappointed how the staff handled our complaint. I’m a fan of kokoro and been in different branches but this Woking branch is out of...
Read moreFast food establishments forcing tips culture. I have been visiting this branch for years & the service used to be great. However now they have an awkward forced tip culture. When you go to pay they awkwardly ask you how much you would like to tip on the machine & you are presented with several ridiculous options 15% 25% 40% 50% and finally NO TIP.
Please explain why anybody would need this option? It only forces you to have an unhappy server to deal with after you click No after already having your pants pulled down? We are paying £11.50 for white rice & meat, that is thrown in a paper container wrapped in cling film within a matter of 30 seconds, how does this warrant a tip? McDonald’s or Subway don’t try to force tip culture & neither should you. A simple tip jar on the side is fine but don’t force these encounters upon your customers. After pressing no to the tip the member of staffs attitude completely changed, I asked for a paper plate or empty container as I was eating in of course all the meat was at the top so to all the rice at the bottom, after spending £30 overall on my meal I was told I’d have to pay more for an additional disposable container ? Small acts of customer service should be given towards your customers rather than being hungry for every penny you can scrounge off...
Read more🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I think I’m in love… with Kokoro’s food! There are meals you eat… and then there are experiences that change you. Kokoro is the latter.
From the very first bite of their Chicken Katsu Curry, I knew I was doomed—forever captivated by the crispy, golden perfection of the chicken, drenched in velvety, rich curry sauce that warms the soul. And don’t get me started on their Deluxe Sushi Set—a masterpiece of freshness, precision, and balance. The salmon melts like butter, the rolls are crafted with such care, and the wasabi delivers just the right kick to keep me wanting more.
Every meal here feels like a love letter to Japanese cuisine, infused with the heart and soul that Kokoro stands for. Their food doesn’t just satisfy hunger, it awakens joy, it sparks obsession, it creates cravings that never fade.
I never thought I’d say this about a takeaway, but I dream of Kokoro. I count down the moments until I can order again. If you’ve never tried it, you’re missing out on pure happiness.
