Food quality has dropped and orders are usually late. only 2 stars as they are still polite. ---‐------- Jan 2020
I have been to sophies 5 or 6 times in the last year, their service for eat-in is quite good. Takeout still needs improvement. i would suggest they have a final check before they bag and send food.
The chomps were hard because i think they keep them frozen before grilling. If i was them i would keep them marinated in the fridge, the food will be good for 3 days. Their taste would be 100 x better.
Complained that the food was old and overcooked and chomps were so hard it was virtually inedible. We complained over the phone but was told to bring the food back and leave my daughters birthday party to prove it. Ordered from here for the 1st time last night online for delivery, the website was clear and easy to use. Once my order was placed I got a confirmation email from them to confirm with a delivery time of an hour. It was an hour and a half before my delivery arrived which wasn't the end of the world but I felt was quite a long time to wait after the confirmation of an hour. The food looked nice when it arrived and was fairly warm. I had asked in the comments box online for no tomato on anything, they didn't put it in the shawarma but there was so much of it chopped up in all the other items I ordered, why bother to ask if your not gonna read the comments box? Very disappointing service, were waiting at till for 15 minutes while they got on top of things. Would have been okay if they acknowledge that we were waiting, had glances but ignored.
Someone went entered and went up to the side of us at the till and asked them to make something quick as was in a rush. They fulfilled their order and payment before treating us as 'the next customer'.
This expirence guaranteed I would not be a returning customer. The food, otherwise, was better than expected. The service was rude.
