Smokin Brads — Restaurant in Worcester

Went for a meal with friends and really liked the atmosphere. Sat for about 15 mins waiting for people to arrive, we all sat and chatted whilst choosing what to eat. Went to the bar and ordered drinks, we must have been in the restaurant for 25 mins with no trouble and were ordering non-alcoholic drinks. The waitress was happy to talk to us and didn’t mention any age policy and there were kids obviously younger than us sitting in the restaurant. Only after ordering drinks did another member of staff tell us that we couldn’t eat or drink in the restaurant because one of our party was under 18. It was offered that we could keep an order and eat it as a take out, bearing in mind it was raining outside. I understand that businesses have age policies and I’m not annoyed with that - I’m annoyed that we were allowed to sit, sort our food, and place our drinks order with a member of staff before being told to leave, and that there was no clear indication of such a policy when we had been looking at the website. Travelled to Worcester through a friend’s recommendation to try out smoking brads burgers. Wow! I can’t believe I have only just visited this place. Honestly, these burgers are unbelievable! I have visited many different places over the years to try different burgers, but this place is the best so far. Attention to quality is amazing and the flavours are to die for. Portion sizes are huge! And the value for money can’t be beaten. Small sized menu but there are many different options available. Also has vegan 🌱 burgers to choose from, which is a nice touch.

Smoking brads is situated inside the firefly pub, which itself is a lovely pub. Quirky design inside. Huge secluded outdoor seating area which is really well presented and cosy. Smoker friendly. Can’t fault anything about my experience.

It cost £38 for 2 meals with extra chips, pork belly bites and coleslaw. Overall I would say if you get the chance to visit it is definitely worth it. New favourite...

Don’t even bother going to any of the other burger places in Worcester because Brads Smokes them all 😎👍

UPDATE - sadly brads has succumbed to “shrinkflation”

I have been a regular loyal customer of smokin brads for several years now but my last 3 visits of late have been a little disappointing because the burger patties have become extremely thin.

I am aware things are more expensive nowadays but Brad is killing his great burgers by making the patties very thin!

I had a double patty burger today and it was essentially the size of a previous normal patty
