Stopped into the “Newly Remodeled” Jack in the box on the evening of 10/12/19. Was around 8:30 or so. Was firstly unimpressed with the “new remodel job”. It looks worse than it did before the remodel. And when compared to the properly remodeled sister sites up north in Olympia and Tacoma, this one looks like garbage! For example, the bad tile job on the floor (did “do it yourselfers” do the shoddy tile job?). The tiles and grouting both have visible bonding agent all over them. A professional job wouldn’t look like this at all. Next, look at how unprofessional looking the tables are mounted into the floors... all the grey bonding cement showing, not covered with the chrome beauty covers... yet another sign of shoddy work. Look around if you go in, you’ll notice those things and others I didn’t mention. Lastly and most importantly, the staff/service. WHAT A JOKE. We took our orders to go, as we weren’t about to eat in the unclean looking lobby. The staff was unprofessional. The order maker/bagger was too into horsing around and joking with a lobby patron to be concentrating on his task of making customers orders. Our orders arrived in three to-go bags, and immediately noticed we were missing fries... come on, really, you got one job to do... call out for fries, box them them make sure they are put into the bag. I made them take our entire meal and put them in the warmer while we waited for them to drop a new batch of fries, as I refused to allow them to keep my meal up front to get cold under their air conditioning as I waited the few minutes it takes to make fries... they seemed shocked and offended (too bad). I Complained about it, and asked for the manager (Richard). He took my copy of the order receipt, and checked my order. Came back and said that they had in fact gotten my order wrong, that they would fix it, and offered us complimentary large milkshakes to make up for their mistake (a Nice gesture on Richards behalf!) He brought our to go order back up after “fixing” their mistake and assured me it was taken care of. We got home, emptied out the bags to eat, and low and behold, we were still missing part of our ordered meal... what ???!!! How does a business manager take my receipt AND order, personally check them BOTH, then send me home with the entire order, and still get it wrong by have items missing still? I must have much higher standards than others in town, but I find this type of service inexcusable, and frankly don’t tolerate it. I called and spoke with the manager once more, strongly expressing my disgust with their services and incompetence. Richard has offered to replace my entire meal, but sadly, NO THANKS. I tried Aberdeens “Newly Remodeled Jack In The Box”, and I experienced their “professional” work staff... never again. I’ll give my money to Wendy’s or...
Read moreWe came to this Jack in the Box for a quick breakfast. This Jack's seemed to be very efficient. There were 6 of us in the car, and we were trying to get through the drive-through quickly. We didn't want to stop for a sit down lunch, so we opted for a drive to breakfast. We each picked a number and pulled up to the speaker. After we ordered we pulled up to the window and paid. A few minutes later we started getting our drinks. Shortly after that we started getting our sandwiches. As our bags started arriving, we checked each numbered order for accuracy. Surprisingly, everything was perfect. Everyone was happy with their meals and we went on our way. We ate our breakfast in our car and we were no longer hungry. Thank you to Jack in the Box, we could get on our way to visit a relative in the Seattle Hospital--quite a long drive away--without taking time out of her day to stop at a sit down restaurant. 06-13-18: UPDATE: On a subsequent visit to Jack in the Box, we opted to eat inside. We ordered our dinners and found a table that our drinks and we did for meals. After lunch we went to use the restroom and found it locked with the keypad. We had to get the key pad number from the checker at the front of the store. Once in the ladies room, I found the restroom painted in a very unprofessional manner, the moldings not finished can. Also no toilet seat covers were in existence. While there was no garbage on the floor it just didn't have a very clean appearance. The whole restaurant didn't look like the owners took pride in having a clean restaurant. I was also very unhappy with having to use a keypad which is very unsanitary. Finally, other mistakes they made here, were that they charged us for an extra hamburger that we didn't order. And they were very slow with getting my meal out. Even though they said they were sorry for the slowness of the meal, that doesn't really help me when everyone else was finished with their meal and I was just starting mine. For those reasons I'm reducing this restaurants evaluation from...
Read moreThe attached image is an “Ultimate Cheeseburger with no mustard” from a Munchie meal. I’m pretty sure they put all the mustard they had on it. I can’t eat mustard so I threw it away. I just wish I had got a receipt.
I didn’t ask for one because earlier in the week they had forgot some items I had ordered, but was charged for (I have a receipt for that one.) but I figured that it was just an oversight; now I wish I had asked for one.
I only come through in the evenings because there are a few places open late in Aberdeen. The late night shift is a hit or a miss. Sometimes they’re great, and sometimes not so much. I worked for Jack In The Box in high school and for the company who owns this franchise in particular, so I understand the overnight shifts can be difficult, but you should still be able to get what you ordered and paid for.
The APP (which is not the fault of the franchise or the store) rarely works. When it lets you complete an order, which it doesn’t always, it will charge you and give you a confirmation code, but then the store will not receive the order. Or it will not let you complete an order entirely, but at least it’s not like the...
