My family picked me up for my lunch break from work at ShopRite. Specifically, my daughter wanted to go to McDonald's for a Happy Meal. So we decided to go there...easy right. You would think! The line was non-existent, so in theory, even easier right?! Well, sorry, not every story has a happy ending kids. I'll start with the positive, they gave us our daughters happy meal before telling us to pull forward. So, at least there's that, kudos, because a lot of restaurants & fast foods places do not understand that kids getting their food first is essential. However, after pulling forward, im almost certain we were forgotten about. To put it into perspective, they didn't walk out to our car to give us 'our' food until after my alarm to be back at work went off. My work is directly across the street. A literal 2 minute drive. So i was in the drive thru for roughly 24-26ish minutes. Which is its own beast...especially considering that the food that was brought out. Ended up not even being our food. I tried to remind the person that we've been in the drive thru for 20+ mins already soooooo. They were hustling their buns off, so kudos again to that guy. Who was at least doing the best he could, as fast as he could. So he must've went inside & mentioned it. Seeing as it took another wait until we finally got our food, which again, wasn't the full amount. He again, was hustling as fast as he could. So, at least it felt like he was trying to right a clear wrong. Once he brought out the last bit of food, i asked if they have anything that they do for people in our scenario? Whether it be a small compensation, to again, try to right a wrong. Along the lines of chic-fil-a, where they give u a card that can be redeemed for a free chicken sandwich or breakfast sandwich. Fo literally just waiting a tad longer then normal. Obviously, completely different business ethics. But that's to be expected. It's chic-fil-a after all. He responded with, no, sorry, we don't have anything like that. To which i responded, well in that case, i guess a sorry will just have to do. As he was walking away, i remarked to him that at the least, i appreciate his specific hustle to get everything to us & other people as quick as he could. So, review: Pros: my daughter got her food immediately & the guy running around was going as swift as possible.
Cons: it took the food (1 big mac, 1 quarter pounder, 2 10 piece nuggets, 2 large fries, & a happy meal) 40 mins without any compensation besides a literal sorry. I was late back to work, which ill probably get in trouble for.
Ps- all i kept saying during & after, was, why did my daughter have to choose McDonald's. I repeated it like 5 times. That's clearly not what customers should ever say or feel about your establishment whilst leaving. Yikes. Must've been a bad night. Maybe a few call outs. I hope none of the customers give as much sh** to the workers as i wanted too. But did everything in my power to keep it together. Until literally now, when my phone asked me how my experience was lol.
Sincerely your next door neighbor from customer service at shop...
Read moreToday is 12/12/21 at 11:06 pm. I literally just left this location and had one of the worst experiences. My fiancé and I came through the drive thru.. ordered our food which was a mcdouble with no onions or pickles, a medium fry and medium sprite. My fiancé order a spicy chicken sandwich meal, medium fry and medium sprite. We arrived to the window and I decided I wanted to add a spicy mcchicken. We were RUDELY met by a woman at the window who was visually bothered and had an extremely poor attitude! She told us we could not add anything and we would have to drive around again. Even though I knew this was not the case, I let it slide. She proceeds to ask us what we ordered and we told her. I look in the bag and she puts a spicy mcchicken in the bag instead of spicy chicken sandwich. When we inform her she seemingly throws a tantrum and throws the bag on the counter behind her. When she gets the right sandwich in the bag, she slings the bag in my fiancé’s hand. At this point I felt if we did not pull off things would have escalated as again, this employee was extremely rude and visually unhappy with her job. After leaving I realize one fry is missing. I understand that the food service industry is suffering horribly on the pandemic but this employee should not be working with the general public if this is how she conducts herself and represents McDonald’s as a company. I will be calling corporate tomorrow morning to file a...
Read moreIt is sad that using mobile order takes so long. Placed an order in the lot and it took over 15 mins to get my order, more then 15 cars went through drive thru and when I placed my order there was 5 in line. This is not the first time this has happened. Last time I ordered 10 mins before my arrival and still waited 15 mins
11/3/2022 the issues continue I placed an order here this evening, after 15 minutes I went in, took a few to get a manager who was rude, there are employees walking around doing nothing, mind you while outside I could see the drive through constantly moving. The manager told me it was an ohh well situation, as I watched an employee find my ticket and fill a bag with food from the warming tray, when I got my order I had to ask for the rest of it, I asked the manager for his name, he told me it was a franchise and he did not have to provide that. He was an African American male with dreads who talked like he had something in his mouth, claimed to be the only manager, also while outside I attempted to call the store at the number in my email confirmation and it went directly to voicemail. If I could have had canceled my order I would have, my food was not the greatest and the service is horrible. This is not the first time I have had an issue with the mobile order system here and the manager asked me to give them another try and this time it was worse. Something really needs to be done...
