Two issues to be discussed. Would not have given this place one-star but had too. This place is consistently BAD, and I should have known better!!! I only decided to go in because there was a line of cars in the drive thru and was so long that they were out into the street. I thought wow it would probably be easier to just to go in. Now I know why the drive thru line was so long because no one wanted to deal with the issues if you try to order inside. Issue 1: Went into the place for the first time in a long time (that was my first mistake) and saw the new kiosk where you order and pay. There were 4 and one was not working. Had to wait over 15 minutes to place my order because it was taking folks so long to navigate the platform and then of course one was not working. Although this may have been a good concept - ordering and paying on these kiosk - but unless you have someone monitoring what is going on it is a disaster waiting to happen. I felt bad for people who were having difficulties figuring out the platform and tried helping them. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE CAME TO SEE IF ANYONE NEEDED HELP?? The thing about technology is it can remove the personal touch but considering how incompetent and rude these employees are, maybe that is not such a bad idea. Once your order is ready, they yell out your number and then they run off as quick as they can so they do not have to deal with you. I checked my bag and saw some things missing and it took almost 10 minutes before I could get anyone's attention and talk about rude. They would look at you and act like you were not there. What a disaster. By the time everything was said and done, I had been in there over 40 minutes. Also, the kiosks (four) were set up two against each other. The problem is that one of them was not working and there are two different entrances so guess what that meant - figure it out. Issue 2: The food was terrible. Ordered the BIG MAC meal - was cold like it had been sitting around. The big mac (meat) was so dry and bland and no sauce on it- just threw it away along with the cold bland terrible fries. Read moreStopped in yesterday and ordered breakfast. Sat down and finished half my meal with my son. The manager, I assume based on the uniform, came out and said "You can't eat in here. Our dining room is closed." She wasn't very pleasant ☹️. With everything going on I understand the dining room being closed but it should be blocked off and a sign posted stating the fact that it was closed. Personnel could have informed me also when ordering or even handing me my food. Don't wait until I have half way finished and then kick me out. Another couple walkedi as were going out to eat in the car. They must have been informed because they walked back out im immediately. Funny part is I thought it may have been a city order to close the dining area. On the way back through I stopped at Hardee's and ordered at the drive thru because of the morning experience at McDonald's. I asked the nice young lady helping me if all dining rooms were closed. She said no. She said they had open seating areas and we were welcome to come in and eat instead of having to sit in the car. We parked and did just that. So needless to say Thank You Hardee's and good bye McDonald's. I will never stop there again. Hopefully door dash will keep that location going. I would not be frustrated if a simple sign was posted. McDonald's is Definitely Slipping. Recently at several different locations orders have been wrong. One down the street required customers to use the kiosks to the point that all walk in business stopped. The owner was having people park cars in the parking lot to make it look busy. McDonald's needs to reevaluate your policies and practices. You are definitely losing customers like myself. I don't order one meal when I pop in. I have six members in my family. I drop $40 plus each time I walk in the door. I'm a customer that you don't want to leave but I am strongly considering it. I definitely will never stop at the Aberdeen NC location.
