NOT worth the money we spent! I rarely complain because I realize all businesses have moments they'd prefer to forget, but this experience is an exception. I was so, so disappointed with what we got at Outback that I'll likely never go back. We would have been better hitting a local McDonald's...and we would have left full! My husband ordered a 12oz ribeye and I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs - we intended to split it and take home the remainder for the next day's lunch...because a "full rack" is A LOT of food. When the ribs arrived both of us stared. *See the attached picture. My fork was longer than my supposed full rack! My broccoli took up more real estate than my ribs. So, I asked the waitress if it there was a mistake. She reviewed the order. "Yes, that's a full rack"! We got 6 very small ribs for $20.00! The ribeye was ok, not great, and again pretty small for 12 oz. We routinely order a 16oz ribeye at another local restraunt and it's twice as big. Wishing now, that I had taken a comparison shot for reference. We were not impressed with the flavor OR the $64.00 bill that left us hungry and irritated. So, to cure our rib craving (and to make sure we weren't crazy) we went to Smokey Mo's and ordered a full rack of baby back ribs. They were as long as my arm... and we paid $17.95 for it. Awesome flavor - no sauce needed! If you want real ribs in Texas, go somewhere Texan, maybe. Outback is good for a $64.00 Australian appetizer.

Outback Steakhouse! I haven’t been here in years but when uncle BooBoo wanted a diverse out of Texas experience I knew exactly where to take him, the outback! Boom!! Welcome to Australia uncle! The night started out interesting when we got sat at a booth behind a couple that wouldn’t stop talking about their “private life” in a not so private voice. We decided to get a little distracted by having a drink but wanted to stick with the Australian theme. We ordered some Fosters beer, two sips in uncle BooBoo was furious, insisting that the beer tasted like beer nothing Australian about it, that was the start of it…… one thing led to another, made a very long embarrassing night. Uncle BooBoo went on his own quest to integrate every worker about the last time they were in the outback, he was so mad when these what appeared to be 19 year olds had not been to Australia. He was appalled and not shy to show it. Eventually I talked him down but in his frustration he also let the couple behind us know how he felt about their conversation. I think they didn’t even pay as they ran out the door! All in all outback was good, hot delicious food, service was decent, but explain to your uncle it’s an American franchise with an Australian theme (it’s not the real outback, don’t expect kangaroos, lol!).

Date night tonight took us to the Outback Steakhouse tonight. I'm not usually a big fan of steak, unless my spouse grilled it, but the steak here was excellent, tender, very flavorful, grilled to perfection, moist. The side salad has nice fresh thin English cucumber slices, purple onions, cherry tomatoes, fresh grated cheese and lovely croutons. The house made ranch dressing needed a little more pepper, but overall it was beautiful and delicious. The generous helping of fresh steamed broccoli was also done perfectly. They brought us a lovely mini loaf of dark honey wheat bread with whipped butter and delicious fresh brewed tea. We were very happy with the meal, the service and the atmosphere m. It was spacious and quieter than most other Steakhouses we've visited. It was nice to be able to enjoy our own conversation. To top it all off, dessert was a big slice of New York cheesecake with a decadent raspberry sauce! I wish I'd taken photos of everything for you but I did ask last take one of dessert. I can't vouch for Outback in other locations, but in Abilene Texas, it was one of our best experiences in a long while.

Showed up for dinner. Normally we love outback but tonight always horrible. Mozzarella sticks were dripping in grease. We understand they can be greasy but it was so bad they looked wet. We couldn’t finish them. Our salad and soup sat in the back well over 30 mins and when finally brought to our table the waitress said it was over looked in the back. So the salad was super soggy and the soup was cold. Mins after finally being given the starter food the actual meal came and it was horrible. My steak was about medium rare when I asked for well done. We all have preferences in steak but if I cut into a steak with red spewing out it ruins my appetite. It grossed me out so bad. She took the steak back and brought the Sam steak back well done. But after being there for a good hr and a half I was just done and ready to leave. I got the Mac n cheese as a side. It wasn’t mentioned that bacon and some powder stuff was added to them now,. Had i known that indefinitely would have requested it not be on there. My husband got the ribs and said they were absolutely disgusting. Honestly they didn’t even look cooked well they just looked gross. We saw our waitress maybe twice (as we were seated and when food was brought to our table) throughout the meal. My son tried to catch her attention the times she did come to the table to get a refill but was ignored I finally had to catch her myself. I get it being “busy” been a server in my past, but instead of rushing off acknowledge the whole table. She did promptly get us to go boxes for the Mac n cheese and steak and the kiddos meals and get us the check though, but waited another 10 mins for our for her time come back. I finally just got off and walked out to load baby up and my husband went to the bar to get cash to break for a tip.

Only good thing tonight was the Bloody Mary. Props to the bartender because that was a wonderful Bloody Mary. Won’t give up on Outback as that’s usually a special place we go to at least twice a month, but tonight was absolutely horrible.

To manager’s reply- We sent this to that email address right after submitting this review on Friday night. Haven’t heard...

Was here last night with a group of peers, and we were all blown away by how horrible the service was. It's completely understandable that with a full table, there’s going to be some lag in service, but this experience was probably one of, if not the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and several peers shared the same sentiment.

We were largely ignored by waitstaff, who were just chatting with each other, and when we did ask for anything, we were treated like an inconvenience. People who ordered drinks didn’t get refills, and when some asked for bread, they were told it would come out, but it never did. We waited over an hour and 30 minutes for our food, and even then, orders were missing items that never made it to the table. These missing items still appeared on our checks at the end, requiring disputes to fix.

What made it even worse was that we were the only tables being served, as the restaurant was largely empty, yet somehow, the service was still incredibly negligent, slow, and rude. If you asked the staff for anything, it took them at least an extra 20 minutes to follow through- that is IF they did at all. By the time the bills finally came, they were incorrect across the board. People weren’t getting the correct change back, some were charged twice, and others were billed for the wrong order.

At that point, we were all completely over it and just wanted to leave but unfortunately had to wait to get bills corrected (another 30 minutes). By the time we left we were all exhausted. I’ve never been to an Outback before, and I’m glad I haven’t. I wouldn’t recommend this place and specifically this location to anyone - save yourself the trouble, headache, and...
