Firehouse Subs Abilene South — Restaurant in Abilene

Where to start? The guy taking our order seemed very new, so new he should have had someone helping him take orders. How ever he did get our order of three very stright forward sandwiches put in correctly and he was pleasant. When we received the order 2 of the 3 where correct. 1 sandwich was a completely different sandwich than what was ordered. After bring this to the attention of the guy at the register, they promptly started fixing the issue and asked if I would like to keep the wrong one. After a bit of time they did bring out the new sandwich with the correct meat on it. However this time it was missing the cheese and vegetables, it was only meat and bread. I don't understand how this is hard. You make these standard sandwich all day long. You have a cheat sheet in front of you to tell you how to make it, it's even written on the order ticket and you still get it wrong. I wasn't a dick about the order being wrong the first time and didn't say anthing the 2nd time. If they can't get it right on the 2nd try they won't do it on the 3rd. Me and Uncle BooBoo wanted to try something a little healthier so we decided to grab a sub sandwich. This place was really great! Me and uncle BooBoo got the notification on our phones that our meal was ready! Lucky for us we were already waiting in the parking lot, so we scooted on in. Uncle BooBoo thought it was insane how this place was based on fire fighters, he got a little confused (shocker) and thought everyone who worked there was either a fire fighter or a former fire fighter. He started thanking everyone for all they have done and started to try to talk politics. That made some people mad. Uncle BooBoo dug himself in a deep hole, that of course I had to dig him out of. I then explained to him that all these people were simply normal people. That made him raging. He demanded he spoke with the manager for not hiring “real” fire fighters. This is JUST for Abilene Tx Firehouse Subs. The only reason I am giving one star is because their sandwiches are good. The food is actually pretty great. But service is AWFUL. Today was the second time I have waited close to 45 min for a small order for fast food, after asking 3 times about the order as well. The last time no one was even in the restaurant and we ordered one sandwich and waited 30 minutes for it. That day we got a refund and left. Today, I ordered 2 kids sandwiches and 2 regular sandwiches to go. I waited 45 min for this order. My whole family could have eaten our meals completely by the time we got our order. Just unacceptable. I love the sandwiches but I just wont be going back because I dont have time to wait that long.
