In November last year, my gaming laptop (an ASUS that I absolutely loved) started to glitch, where the sound and screen on the left side of the screen would waver while playing, so I brought it to the store to get it repaired. I was told that they couldn't fix it in-house, so they sent it to their repair factory, where, for 2 months, my computer went MIA. I called everyone I could to figure out where it was and why it was taking so long to get it back (I was given a 1-week to 1-month estimated fix time), but I finally got it back, only to discover it was bricked. Now it won't turn on, and not even the tech guys at Best Buy could pull anything from the hard drive; the 'repair' people destroyed it so badly. Well, for 5 MONTHS, I was given the run around by the store/corporate about who to talk to about getting some kind of discount until someone from HQ said it would be up to the local store manager to work out a discount for me. Well, it turns out the only way I would get any discount to replace the computer they killed was to get a refurbished laptop, for which I only got a $90-something discount. Well, despite being in 'excellent condition' I had to return the laptop because every time I woke it up, its configuration would be all messed up, and if I tried to play any games in a windowed-screen format, the game would disappear off into a corner of the screen that was non-existent that I couldn't even select no mater how many times I clicked on the game icon to bring it back up. Now I'm being told (as of today, 6/16/25) that since I already received a 'discount' for the computer I had to return, I would not be eligible, per company policy, for a discount to the next laptop I buy, which again, is to replace a wonderful gaming laptop that their own company destroyed. Once again, corporate said "oh, the only person who can give you a discount is the store manager," but per the manager I talked to today, the ONLY person with the authority to do ANYTHING about this, is on leave for the next two weeks, and like I said already, the current floor manager said I was SOL if I wanted to get any discount for a replacement laptop, which I use for school, illustration work, as well as gaming when I'm not at home. In short, don't come to these guys for repairs. A Total Tech member actually told me at this store that the 'repair guys' don't even try to fix the computers that are sent into them, preferring to simply replace the device if it's still under warranty, forcing clients to outright buy a new computer at full price if outside that timeframe.

My mother and I are both disabled, and the ADA stall in the women's restroom is very difficult for the disabled to use. I have spoken to various staff and managers several times, and the issues are still uncorrected. Therefore, here is what you need to know if you are disabled and need to use the ADA stall at this store: 1. The door is very difficult to close and has no handle (see attached video). 2. The baby changing station is broken. Those on scooters or in wheelchairs will have difficulty getting into or out of the stall. My mother would have been trapped if I had not accompanied into the stall to assist. 3. The toilet paper holder is too low and too far back. Many disabled people many struggle to get to the roller. Further, there should be one on the other side of the toilet for those with amputations for ease of access. 4. The toilet is too low. There are ADA approved toilets at Lowe's that are around $500 for the toilet and installation. This will prevent customers from getting stuck on the toilet. 5. The sanitary napkin disposal bin is not affixed to the wall and is very dirty. Additionally, the store needs better staffing on weekends that correspond with the standard 1st and 15th payday. There is never enough staff during those time periods. Your store needs a direct line to you or your Geek Squad. Being on hold for 2 hours for your non-direct line before having the call dropped by your system is beyond unacceptable. If I could find somewhere in town with a better product when it comes to buying a computer in store, I'd go somewhere else.

Lost a $2,000 sale — and $10,000 in future business due to one disrespectful employee On 11/3, a business partner and I came in to purchase an 85” TV, ready to buy on the spot. After waiting quite a while for assistance, the TV sales associate Robert finally arrived and immediately came across as rude and dismissive. We explained exactly what we wanted, but instead of helping, he told us our choice was “bad” and pushed a different model that was clearly not what we were looking for. He also insisted that the TV wouldn’t fit in our SUV — even after we told him it absolutely would. Tired of the attitude and lack of respect from Robert we left and went straight to Sam’s Club, where we purchased the exact TV we wanted. And yes — it fit perfectly in the SUV, just like we said. It’s unfortunate for Best Buy, because we had plans to make several more large purchases — easily another $10,000 in future business — but this experience completely changed our minds.

My experience with Best Buy began in April of 2014 and is still on going. Second residence needs contractual attention from the Geek Squad Super Tim Givens and the techs. I have complete confidence in Brandon one of the Geek Squad technicians. You know you are in good hands when the store manager takes time and spends time listening and understanding your customer expectations that are either being met or need some adjustment. Professionalism is a good characteristic of this Best Buy store manager Dan. I love the surround sound system in the first residence. Brandon kept up the diligence and we got there. It is awesome having the house bumping to Deep House........ The second residence hopefully will be given the same profound attention that Brandon gave at the first home. One thing I do know Dallas is my home and Best Buy in Dallas is on the top of the ladder. Well it was necessary to go back into Best Buy 11/19/2014 trying to find a tablet to run the you tube music through the amp. The sales clerk Jacob was impeccable, but the floor manager kept interrupting him telling him " when you get through with him you have someone else" this happened about 5 times which created an atmosphere that completely undermined the attention Jacob was giving describing the products. I didn't follow my own advise and go to Dallas, but I am this week. The store manager was not in the store and you could tell. The floor manager was rude, rushing and frantic telling the clerks in front of their customer when you finish with that one you have another one. There were few customers in this store. This is not Dallas and the store atmosphere is like a rodeo ride. To follow up on two home installations. It is now November - 9 months later and Tim Givens superintendant of the Geek techs in Abilene still has not honored his contract that he created to finish the second property. The separator box may not work. Do they care? No Abilene has some very dear people , but my experience with Best Buy has not been a good experience., Unprofessional practices. ...

I went in needing a new phone, mine was completely demolished. I spend $435 on and iPhone SE. (I definitely did not want to spend that. But the cheaper phones looked and felt cheap...so if I’m already spending over $100...I mine as well get something that’s going to last me some years. I don’t mind paying the price as long as it’s a good investment.) I will say they were slightly busy but I felt rushed and apparently uneducated about the difference between the phones. Over the next few days I noticed my battery kept draining EXTREMELY fast...also when I would be on the phone, it would just drop me (like I pushed the mute button) but I didn’t. THIS ALSO HAPPENED WITH JUST ABOUT EVERY PHONE CALL I HAD. I could hear them perfectly but they couldn’t hear me. I’ve been connected to WiFi calling and it still does the same thing. So I took it back up there to try to exchange or get an iPhone 11 (if it was better because it was only $200 more) Well apparently you can’t buy the iphones 11-12 outright. They HAVE to put you on one of their plans. I don’t want to do that. Which left the option of exchanging it for the exact same one. The person I dealt with was semi rude and acted almost put out that I would even want to exchange it. AGAIN. In my eyes it’s an investment of almost $500 sooo I NEED it to work properly and LAST me. I told him I really did appreciate his help and he just quickly cut me off and sent me on my way. DEFINITELY NEVER BUYING SOMETHING OF THAT VALUE FROM THERE AGAIN. I want to know I’m getting my moneys worth...and if not, I want to be able to EXCHANGE or return that item without being charged a restocking fee of $45. (I bought the phone literally 3 days ago) and dot would have been a little nice to have been more educated on the phone I’m purchasing. All I kept hearing is it’s like an iPhone 8 body but...
