Upon entering we were seated by the guy at the cash register. Our drink order was taken but the waiter never came to our table we had to go ask... And the waiter snatched the ticket out of my hand I understand he is in a rush and if he had not said your welcome after I said thank you when he brought our drinks... He would have been given a lecture about manners... It was bad enough to have the lady at the table next to us being a little to friendly with our son... I mean there's a level of attention but me and my wife both felt very uncomfortable after a certain amount of time passed... I hate to say it but this place has to be the lowest grade Chinese food I've had in this town.I tried to cover it up with the pizza but it was mushy... I should have trusted my gut when those red flags started going up I was considering going back to harvest moon before coming here... We are routine customers at there business on north 10th and judge ely... The lady is really great there and the food was alot better...The price for me and my wife is only $19.00 there... but quality wise... There's a big difference between the two... I can't believe so many people come here.. it seems they are not all working together and I can tell something is definitely out of balance... But they were packed... So I'm like???? But honestly people it gets better... Don't settle for less... Otherwise your just doing that to your self by choice sometimes different is better... Ya never know until you try... right??? If it wasn't for the 15% discount we got for the inconvenience I would have rated this place at only one star... But it filled me up and the price...
Read moreVaried selection, salad bar is nice does have kimchi, which can be hit or miss, oysters in half shell shrimp very nice, and salad vegetables are good. They do a curry chicken golden yellow sauce is delicious serve it over rice, use a soup bowl to capture all the goodness. Standard fare is comparable to other places in Abilene, there ribs can be nice. They do very well with their chicken or beef and broccoli and their mushrooms. The jalapeno poppers are nice but someone's are over done. Dumplings are great as well as the chicken on stick, flavorful and delicious. Soups are plentiful and egg drop or hot and sour and good, but can be hit or miss. They do a small American fare pizza, fried fish and potatoes seem well if you need to pause the Asian tasting menu. Overall with a visit. There is also a hit grill to build your own bowls as well. It could stand more use but I believe Abilene had a Genghis grill that didn't last so this probably isn't understood well. If you're not Chinese food person this can be great alternative to create a dish you can enjoy, or of you are okay with sauces spices and flavors and enjoy. Clean, attentive staff very nice place to...
Read moreWent to Buffet Asia for an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. Most of the food was fresh and looked good and tasted really good. Nice big screen with Dr Phil showing nice and mellow atmosphere. However the honey chicken tasted slightly off. This totally threw off my palate for the rest of dinner. I also did find out that their sushi bar is all imitation nothing was real however they did have real crab legs and crawfish and real mussels on the menu. We had the mussels and they weren't as good as expected. The Dr pepper was good. The service was good. The floors look slightly dirty like they needed shampooed pretty bad. And the restrooms were slightly not up to par. Otherwise it was a fairly average experience for me.The plus side is they do claim they do NOT use MSG's however I will probably try somewhere else unfortunately. They're not the worst but they're definitely not the best in Abilene. My reviews are always...
