Let me point out first by saying that my parents own a breakfast diner in the city so everywhere else I go for breakfast food is based on THEIR standards of quality tasting food. Now, this was my first time coming to the KCH and I ordered the egg, cheese, and sausage on a croissant as well as an egg on a muffin (for a friend) and a regular coffee. My total came to over $11. I’d say that’s pretty high for what I got. My sandwich cost $5. That is ridiculous expensive considering they don’t even cook their food on the spot. Everything is precooked and then reheated in a microwave, so nothing is made fresh. The croissant was small and very flaky. I could get a freshly cooked, hot egg, cheese, and sausage on a bigger soft croissant for $4 at my parents’ diner. The coffee here also tastes burnt like it’s been sitting there all day and they reheated it. Nothing tastes fresh here. It’s just a café that’s good for something simple. I also don’t think they care about hygiene because I didn’t see them use gloves nor washing hands before they made my sandwich. I’m a little concerned with places who touch money and handle food. The man who made the sandwiches literally had just walked back in from being outside. I hope he washed his hands but I didn’t see. This is a very small, neighborhood joint so just be aware of that and not have high expectations. Not the cleanest either. Tables are really sticky and needs a good wipe...
Read moreI come into Glenside about once or twice a year to visit my son and I always enjoy stopping at the Keswick Coffee House. The coffee selection is great and it’s a very cozy and welcoming space. This visit something very special happened. When I first got to town, I went in and got my cup of coffee. I realized the next day that I had lost $40. I couldn’t figure out where and just decided to let it go. As I was leaving town this morning, three days later, I went by to get another great cup of coffee and the person behind the counter said to me, “You were in here the other day. Did you lose some money?“ I told her that I did and she quickly handed me the $40 that she had tucked away, hoping that I would come back because she couldn’t track me down when I left the first time. Wow!! I not only felt great, but she felt so good having been able to...
Read moreCute, cozy, quaint, and comfortable. I love the setup, and that they showcase local artists' work (that can also be purchased!). The menu is varied enough to have something for everyone, without being too expansive and overwhelming. Pricing is great, too.
The staff are absolutely lovely! A friend and I met up after not having seen each other for quite a few years, and we sat catching up over several beverages and several hours, and the staff were so pleasant the entire time. Thank you for allowing us to hang out for so long!
I'll definitely return, and I've already recommend the Keswick Coffee House to several other friends. Such a wonderful spot! I only wish I lived closer so I could visit...
