CUSTOMER SERVICE: The staff is always friendly and attentive to your needs.
ATMOSPHERE: Not a high end decor restaurant, but that's not why you're eating here anyway! It's sufficient that it's clean. Restrooms are also well kept as well. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of available parking.
VALUE: Terrific value for ACYE! Especially given the quality of the food and the price (generally approximately low $20s).
EATS: This has been the only ACYE place that I've found that serves yellowtail and oh boy, is it delicious! Their fish always tastes fresh and their sushi pieces are never zealously loaded with rice. From a quality perspective, I've thoroughly enjoyed Nagomi!
Sadly, I've had over 20 visits here and as of late, the quality and experience has unfortunately gone down.
I can't quite be sure if they're intentionally or unintentionally shorting orders. Recently having gone with friends, it wasn't uncommon for us to encounter a plate of 2 shrimp tempuras when we had ordered 3, a plate of 10 salmon sashimi when we had ordered 30, a plate of 4 white tuna nigiri when we had ordered 8 pieces. It's as if they're estimating how many pieces guests are able to eat and serving the dishes based on their estimates, as opposed to the actual orders customers have requested. Lastly and strangely, each customer is limited to ONE scoop of ice cream and no more.
THOUGHTS: Overall, quality-wise, Nagomi is on point! However, from a dining-experience perspective, their ACYE isn't quite accurate when it comes to dining, especially with their restrictions. More like, "All You...

For the last 10 years, I've heard so many people telling me to go try Nagomi.
I've been to over 30 different AYCE Sushi spots and buffets, so I have a good idea of what is good or not and so finally, I went to see if the hype was real.
Now. Let's get into it.
#1 This place needs a facelift. Very boring and depressing decor and ambiance.
#2 You're an AYCE, and you charge $30 per person but there is a limit of 25 pieces of sashimi per person?
#3 Being that there is a limit on sashimi, I was expecting the quality to be top notch, but it wasn't
#4 Overall, the food was good, both from kitchen and sushi bar
#5 BUT, as you can see in my photos, the rice to fish ratio in the nigiri was RIDICULOUS! AYCE employees often tell customers who don't eat all the rice on their nigiri to order sashimi instead, but you can't even do that at Nagomi because there is a limit on sashimi
#6 Their servers are fairly miserable. If you are working at a restaurant where it is $30/head, you might want to provide better and friendlier service. The service I received is the same type of attitude I receive at a $10 Chinese buffet.
#7 Their saving grace. They are still one of the few that have ice cream. So good.
#8 Their menu options are very limited to most of the AYCE restaurants in the Tri-state area
After all the hype I have been hearing for years, 1 word. Underwhelming.
It is a solid spot, don't get me wrong but you know where you can find me for my AYCE Sushi, and...
Read moreVisited Nagomi today for a typical Friday night dinner with 3 of my friends. Walked in, and there was no hostess for approximately 5 minutes. Half of the tables were open, but we were forced to wait another 15 minutes to be seated while they waited for tables in the lobby area to finish eating, leave and to be cleaned. In fact, another couple was seated before us on the bar side which had open tables. WiFi password also does not work for any nearby network.
After sitting down and placing our order, we received our appetisers within 10 minutes, but waited a disproportionate 30 minutes after that for our rolls/sashimi. At that point, our desire to eat was diminished because we had stopped eating for such a long period.
We finally received our rolls, and began the main course. During the rest of the meal, my friends' cup of water was not replenished even after several requests, while other tables were attended to without any prompting. Every time the wait staff attended our table, they had a scowl on their face and did not reply to our "thanks", while at all other tables they were laughing and joking around with. We were also charged $3.00 on our bill with no explanation. I would assume it was due to leftover sushi but at no point did the wait staff speak to us about the charge.
This type of prejudiced service was unwarranted and we will not visit this...
