Wow, these guys are just a 5 minute 2.1 mile drive from me and tonight was the first time I’d ever been there. I ordered chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, and an order of a won ton soup (large) take out to go. Let me tell you. . . they did not disappoint in any of them. Chicken was cooked well with a tasty (complex) brown sauce, very good flavor, just the right hint of ginger, and could taste fresh bits of garlic. Nothing was overly greasy, in fact it all seemed quite on the much lighter side than most all other Chinese restaurants I’m used to, chicken lo mein was extremely tasty, bold noodles with just the right layer in sauce with a great proportion of chicken thrown in, same with the chicken fried rice there was solid chicken portion (relative to what you normally expect from CFR, lo mein ratio was great though!) fried rice was also on point though, very minimal grease, all the taste notes I value and none of the ones I don’t. the won ton soup I ordered was a large and I believe it was a Quart container, it had like 8 or 9 won-tons. The price was right and I left them a nice tip cause I’d read good reviews about them on google, I’m glad I did. Great overall balance and hits darn near the pinnacle of what I expect from a good Chinese food restaurant. If you’re looking through reviews trying to find a good Chinese place, look no further, give this place a shot and you will not regret it - they’re a real hidden treasure!
I’ve since lowered my star rating to 3 because the last 3 experiences I had here were just plain bad. Hopefully they turn it around, probably won’t go here again unless I’m desperately craving Chinese and it’s Sunday (and china...
Read moreI have gone to this place twice, One time I ordered a lunch special. Second a main dish with wanton soup. The food is salty as their flavor & that's it. No garlic, no onions of any kind. The wonton soup was chicken broth with thick wonton wraps & meat inside. Again nothing else added, boring. All the food seems to be bought frozen & they put it into a pan & made hot & serve. Souces r store bought salty flavor. Their lunch fried rice is cooked rice then, put into hot pan, poor some soy sauce into it & serve. Real fried rice has eggs, scallions and peas, carrots and even Chinese sauce sage added for a special treat or BBQ pork or chicken. For the price, I expected better. Skip this place. Eat something else if u want...
Read moreUsually very freshly made food, not reheated. I've been going here for a year now and have only had one unfavorable experience. They seem to keep a steady stream of customers which keeps the food moving. Braised chicken wings are good and nice size.
Today, 9/2/18, was not a good day. Orange chicken was cooked too hard. Also, when I asked twice for a cup of water, as I was eating there, the young guy acted conveniently confused but I know he spoke English because he was taking orders and told me to wait a moment and never came back. I bought me something to drink at the Subway in the same plaza. Gotta rethink coming back here....
