Angelina's has always been one of my favorite places to grab a quick meal for the past 50 yrs. Their cold subs are out of this world..unbeatable!! Simply delicious!! However, I often end up with a problem if I get a hot sandwich..esp. the meatball or hot sausage. I hate when they wrap the meatball or sausage sub with foil. They may think that it keeps the sandwich warm. It really doesn't. But, what the foil does do to a meatball or sausage sub is make the bread slimy..like literally gelatinous and..I find it inedible when it's like this. When I call ahead..I always request no foil but..they often put the foil on anyway. I never complain..I take it home..throw the bread away and..eat my meatballs or sausage with no bread. Years ago, they never used to wrap their hot subs with foil and..I seriously wish they would stop and ask the customer if they want foil or not. Personally, I think the foil ruins a hot sandwich. Read moreThere is something about this little shop that just makes you want to keep coming back. Having tried basically every single angie's in the berkshires this is the one i keep going back to. The roast beef is always the rarest, the veggies always the freshest, the bread is always the softest and most importantly the staff is friendly and they always pick up the phone which is way more than can be said for all other Angelina's across the county. The specials are fantastic and the subs are enormous. 10x what subway could ever be and always fresh....
