The Back 9 Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Addison

Been comin here for years. Good vibes untill out of no where the next time I come in on a Thursday for kareoke after being here on a sunday for kareoke. I get told randomly that one of the owners has said I'm not allowed in the bar anymore. Bar staff is cool and couldn't or wouldn't tell me why I was told I can't come in. Just randomly without any explanation as to why. And I didn't do a single thing wrong. I walked in on a Thursday was there for less than 5 mins before i was told i had to leave. I get along with all the customers and staff. Though there is a few customers that go there and are regulars from time to time that are quite pretentious and stuck up like they think they are better than others. Yet for some random reason I'm not allowed in anymore. Again no explanation at all, none. Scott the bartender/ manager says he wasn't there the Sunday the day this claim happened but thats a lie he was definitely there that day. It's like someone has made some false accusation about me or something I have no idea. Again just told I can't come in without a single bit of explanation as to why. Apparently what ever caused it happened the sunday prior but yet i wasn't told to leave then. That's cause I didn't do anything wrong. I think the owners are just hatin and it seems like they being a bit pretentious or something. So at this point I'm not feelin like this place is very chill or cool anymore since I'm being discriminated against and banned for absolutely no reason and without explanation. So I guess this place is just a place that seems to just be baised or discriminate without rotational reason. Oh well. They need the business but apparently they aren't tryin to have that. Cause they just want to boot folks out for no reason at all. I had left my number with the bartender Scott for the owner who said I can't be in there so the said owner that said I'm can't come in anymore can call me and explain why with a rational reason that isn't just randomly discriminatory. Well I guess this place is just one that others may want to pass on. I would always tell the public to come here and check it out and did so the day of this post which is the same day I was told I can't come back. So I guess I'm out here advertising this place for nothin and givin others not good advise to go to this place since they are just goin to boot folks for nothin. Such a shame. Cause my reviews are honest and are one the top review guides in dfw and north texas. So I know others will see this and take it into heavy consideration. This was a good bar. But I guess it's nothin more than another place that just randomly hates on folks for nothin and doesn't want to explain. I just know karma is very real and it skips no one. And when people or places do this kinda thing it causes bad karma and it always comes back on the person or entity that caused the bad karma. Basically I wouldn't go here. It has recently gotten some very weired and odd energy. The type that comes off as negative. Everyone has to make their own choices in life even when it comes to what bar or place ya want to have a drink at or hang out at, but as for this place don't act like I didn't try to make it aware if it's uneasy or negative energy. To the owners...cause I know there are 3. If I'm allowed to come back and givin an explanation for this uncalled for and without appropriate reason of discrimination against me. As well as givin an apology for it. Once they explain, allow me to come back and apologize. Then and only then will I remove this review. I have no reason to hate but when I get hated on and discriminated for nothin I will let it be known and call it out and make others aware of it so they can avoid such environments. Yall have my contact info with Scott. If yall want to correct yalls wrong by all means please do. But if not yall can see how much being discriminatory for no appropriate reason will get ya in the business environment. I really did like this place too.

I deleted my original review to give this bar a chance to correct their wrong doings. So im back to rewrite my review in the hope things had changed...nope it hasnt. I used to go here for yrs. i went in to get a real answer as to why i was once told to not come back for no reason cause of said something weird. Well i know that was a load of bull. And as i had stated before scott the bartender manager lied about it cause no one had the guts to be honest about whatever it was. Cause sean said i couldn't come back. One of the owners. Word on the grapevine he sold his part. But none of them want to address it and then act like they have no idea what up. This place unfortunately has some fairly pretentious vibes from some individuals. Then i go back to see if i can get a real answer months later. Just to have thw arrogant person jess the bartender talk crap to me for being honest in a review l even though she wasnt a part of it but i guess she felt left out and wanted to be disrespectful to me when i wasn't to her. Yeah thats right jess i am not afraid to call you out with you arrogant disrespect. And she walks around with this disgusted attitude and act like she better than everyon and is condesceded and all them reviews sayin this one waitress sits around and just talks to friends that's jess. Yeah jess you want to be rude and disrespectful and act conceded you will find out thats how ya will be treated if ya be that way to people. No one goes to bar to have the staff be like she is or given the bull like ive seen some that work there do not just her. And scott I'll say it a again you have no guts and are liar. Ya said whatever caused this happened on a sunday yet i knew what ya schedule was ya were there that day and to say ya werent there was lie. And then to have employees that want to get bent out of shape for leavina honest review thats trash. Look if you want to go toa bar that has stuck up vibes and disrespectful energy from SOME of the staff fine go here. But i leave honest reviews. And as someone born and raised in the area my whole life. Its not very inviting to treat people like they arent worthy because why? Who knows they wont say why... this place has gone down hill in the last 6 yrs or more. But no im not lyin and this place really ain't worth the stop or place to kick it. To be honest...many of the bars in addison in my opinion have lost their touch or have become a niche thing and too pretentious. Addison in general has started to become a overpriced pretentious and arrogant. To many have let their egos get to bloated. If any of yall at that bar have problem with my review maybe yall should change the way some of yall act towards people or yall could make contactand quit lyin and hidin. There are many issues with this place and much of it is the fact that pretty everyone who works there doesnt know to run a bar very well. Like the owners well norm atleast. Although despite scotts lies and shady demeanor he is this bar's best worker in terms of effort. But it does no good to imbalance it with lousy rude demeanors. I've also heard many things about how one of the owners is manipulating the gamin machines that have in their. Look you read my review ya can either not believe me akd risk it or just try another place. It may not happen right away but it will happen whatever it may be and it may not happen to you but odds are you'll see something not good at some point. And in then in ya gotta think... do you want to support or be a part of a place or even or thing where the people or employees are just stuck up rude individuals? I don't.. then again maybe that's why i get lots of hate from some... cause i won't submit to doin things in a rude or immoral way. Ya know cause people don't like it when ya mind ya damn business and dont make unwise or rude choices and it makes them look bad cause they dont have the gumption to make...

I went last night, a single female, to meet a friend who canceled last minute, but I'd already ordered my beer so I decided to finish it at the bar. I was greeted after several minutes by a bartender or manager, don't know which because neither was in uniform. The bar was attractive, which lead me to believe I'd receive better service, but I was mistaken. The service wan't bad, but it definitely wasn't good either. I'm definitely a harsh critic when it comes to customer service, having made a career out of customer service management. I expect a warm greeting within a minute of sitting down, a beverage napkin placed in front of me and for my bartender or server to tell me their name and also to offer me a menu after serving me my drink. Why is this so difficult? Within minutes of me sitting down I was harassed by a male customer who literally asked me for money to fill in for what he was short on his check. Obviously I told him where he could go, but the "bartenders" did nothing, even though at least one of them noticed the interaction. I shrugged that off and began talking to the guy next to me, who eventually I played a game of darts with (bar only had 2 darts to use). After we were done playing, I sat down to finish my beer and was oddly hit on by a couple (man and woman) who began to hug me and tell me how beautiful I was. OK, so that part had nothing to do with the bar itself, but I thought I'd throw that in there for good measure. I left immediately after that.

Anyway, I'll definitely give this place another chance because it had a good vibe, unlike that dump McFadden's, next door.

*Went in again last night and it was night/day from the first night. It was lively, fun, and the bartenders were totally on-point and friendly. They were super fast and their customer service was amazing. I'd give this place 5 stars this time, but I'm probably not their demographic. The music is a bit loud for me, although the DJ was good and the energy was infectious. My only complaint is that you can't play darts when it's busy because the game is blocked by tables. Anyway, I had fun and...
