🚨🚨🚨LONG POST ALERT: This is coming from me, DeAndra Renay As many of you may or may not know; our home was recently involved in a house fire while attending our daughter’s signing day. We were certainly blessed to have been away from home on this particular day because we could not have made it out alive per the Fire Department and the volunteer firefighters that assisted with putting out the fire. And a special thanks to those gentlemen and young woman, who most definitely did not go unnoticed. But as you may suspect we have lost the majority of our belongings, along with a lot more of our valuables but again we are truly blessed to be here. This has been a very trying, difficult, and emotional tragedy for us to say the least, with all that has happened. RED CROSS was very generous with a donation and helpful in our matter so upon receiving their donation we made the decision to stay at the HAMPTON INN OF ADEL until we could gather our thoughts and get some kind of relief but to our startlement and disbelief the room was very unpleasant. I reached out to the front desk receptionist and informed her of the condition of the room; she offered to move us, which we had to be moved several times upon packing and unpacking the little belongings we do have. The rooms were unclean, smelt of mold, the air conditioning was leaking, it was mold throughout the bathroom, stains on the carpet, and we also was accompanied by roaches and other insects that we shared the rooms with. I expressed my concerns and frustration to the General Manager, Charity and the Manager, Valerie and asked to be refunded some of MY MONEY. She chose to accommodate me by saying she would issue me reward points and also stated, “technically it was RED CROSS money not yours!” I informed her that was money that was given to us with the choice to do whatever was best for my family. Now she will not answer or return any of my phone calls after I was informed to give her a call back. Charity was very rude, disrespectful, insensitive, and a KAREN to say the least. During a time like this, where we have nothing, which she was informed, she treated me and family like we were inhuman. Charity also felt the need to reach out to corporate and express her side so she wouldn’t be held accountable and responsible for the negligence of the rooms and me as a customer. But here is proof of what I was showing my concerns and...
Read moreCONS: I Reserved a hotel in Adel, GA for 6.29.24. I checked in via app on 6.28.24 and got to the hotel at 2:50 PM (check in is at 3PM) only to find 3 workers standing around chatting and advised me that "only the sheets needed to be changed" and the clerk said asked if we had to go somewhere and if we could come back. Shockingly we left and returned back to find out that our room was missing a shower curtain, bathtub rug and a major leak from bathroom faucet that leaked all on the floor (used towel and garbage can for catch the leak-glad I didn't slip and fall) There were only 3 towels in the room for a 2 queen bed room?!?! Front desk had to call off duty manager to find out where an extra shower curtain was and this took about 3 hours and when we were downstairs letting her know about the leak, she handed us the shower curtain and asked us to hang up ourselves. | When the reservation was made, it said nothing about the pool being out of service online! I promised my granddaughter to go swimming, VERY upsetting! it appeared the pool just needed to be cleaned. Front desk said it was out of service for weeks. Later than night, I called front desk to see if they can bring me some bath towels and she asked if I could come down to get them. I went down to get the towels (in my pajamas) and she only had ONE towel available and stated that "housekeeping was behind", then stated, do you want to change rooms (this was 11:30PM). Why this was never offered before is mindboggling. The hair conditioner bottle was empty in the shower. The next morning, I saw a customer fixing the waffle dispenser that took about 15-20 minutes and we almost missed breakfast. I blame this on poor management. Hotel managers are responsible for training workers to have customer service, duly do their job correctly and with customer service. It's like the staff could not think out of the box or have customer service. |PROS: cold air conditioner...
Read moreWe had family reunion in Reed Bingham state park so we had rooms reserved for 2 months ahead. when we arrived on the Friday 25 of Sept. The room we were given was not the room we asked for. When we finally got the right room we went out for dinner. When we returned to our room there was a roll up bed in our room we did not order. so this was more confusion I could have done without. After the bed was removed we got dressed in our night clothes. While I was sitting in the chair of the so called private room the door to our room opened and in walks 3 other people who was given the room we were occupying and this was not a good experience even though I knew the people who entered our room! So more confusion happened and I went down to the front desk to complain to the general manager about the mix up and her response was way far from professional and very, very unconcerned about my issue with all the problems I had the whole first night of our stay. So I went back up to my room and attempted to access my room and the key would not work. I went back down to the front desk and had to have my key reprogrammed do to the other people who used their key which in turn must have voided my key, again no apology from the desk clerk. The following day when we returned to the motel after the family reunion we had to have the room keys reprogrammed again. I do not feel that Hampton handled our reservations and rooms well at all. If it had not been a race weekend in the area I would have moved to the closest Holiday inn but they had no rooms available. I will NOT stay at any Hampton inn as long as I can find another motel room other than Hampton inn! Very disappointed and will schedule our stays in Adel with another motel chain from now on. I'm sure a lot Sasser reunion family members will...
