I've had a 5 start review up for over a year, but my experience as of late unfortunately does not warrant that.
For a while now this location has been slipping. At first you had to wait for the taco salad bowls to be made (the shell bowls). Now, for the last month or so, they tend to have them available, but they are seriously burnt...like old grease burnt...
On top of that, for a couple weeks they had lettuce that was not shredded, but instead, it looked like someone had taken a hatchet to a head of iceberg...almost inedible...
Now...the last two times I went in, they didn't have the spicy chicken, and today they didn't seem to have anything except for tofu and pork...at 1:30....that's still lunch...tsk tsk.
I want to love this place...but they are really starting to hurt my stomach...
Staff always seems to be polite and doing their best...no complaints there...except the one girl that was a bit stingy today with my portions, but I get more than I should sometimes so it's all good :)
Please fix all of this so I can enjoy this place...
Read moreThe food is always so good. If one item doesn’t look as appetizing as usual, I simply get a different thing. I don’t understand weirdos who only get one order, every single time.
The servers are always super friendly, even when they’re swamped. They get my food taken care of in a timely order every time. People complaining about having to “wait” for ingredients or their food, fail to realize that Diablos is a hot spot for both a college and a university. Get off their backs. They’re working hard to make sure you get your food.
Lastly the atmosphere is a little bit of a downer. They’re so understaffed, they can keep it as clean and upkept as it could be. Night shift especially desperately needs more workers. The amount of times I’ve walked in and seen only two workers, with a line spanning all the way to the door is astounding. I always instantly turn around. I can wait till tomorrow for my burrito. No reason to make their night more difficult than...
Read moreI have gone here on several occasions. The first couple of times were okay, but now they have kid employees that don't know how to keep the cooked food stocked when there not busy. When I came in at 2pm well after the lunch rush the employees failed to have any of the food ready for serving. The cook was talking in the back forcing the line server to ignore the customers to wait and watch him cook the food that should have already be done instead of prepping. The other female employee was cleaning the counter smearing food and sour cream with a dirty rag which was falling into the other food bins and touching the food with whatever else the rag had touched while also mixing the food from the counter tops back in with the food in the bins. I'm concerned about there A rating as I don't believe it...
