Absolutely delicious!!! I spent four months in Nepal in 2015 and this food tastes exactly how I remember, maybe even better. All the ingredients were fresh and everything was homemade. My partner had never had Momo's so of course we had to get some with chicken, and the Vegetable Khana had a variety of delightful foods all with vibrant flavors, dhal soup exactly as I remember, and a perfect hot sauce on the side. We ate everything! Even though our bellies were full, we felt energized from all the fresh ingredients, not sluggish or weighed down. It would be very easy to find vegetarian food here, but there are also plenty of meat options for the omnivores.
When we were there, there were only a few other tables occupied. This place needs way more business! The prices are affordable if you get a few dishes to split and our server was very kind. If you want amazing, authentic, incredibly fresh Nepali food, Momo House is the place to go! We will be back!...
Read moreI recently had an unsatisfactory experience at Momo House in Akron, OH (44310). The food I ordered tasted like it was not fresh, with an unpleasant lime and sekuwa odor. The overall quality was subpar, and I believe improvements are necessary for a Nepali restaurant.
My main concern is the lack of responsiveness to customer complaints. When I raised my concerns, I received a dismissive response, stating they never heard of any issues. A more customer-friendly approach would be to acknowledge the concerns, assure improvements, and prioritize fresh, healthy, and hygienic food.
I'm willing to pay extra for quality and better services, but it's crucial for Momo House to address customer complaints respectfully and transparently. As a Nepali restaurant, maintaining clarity and respect in communication will contribute to a more positive dining experience...
Read moreOur experience at this restaurant was disappointing from the moment we walked in. Despite arriving at 9 PM—well within their posted hours (open until 10 PM)—the hostess/waitress greeted us by saying the restaurant would be closing soon. This immediately created a negative first impression.
We ordered Chicken Chowmein, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chilli Chicken. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very poor. The Chowmein was overly salty and the chicken had a rubbery texture. The Fried Rice tasted old, and the chicken in that dish was no better—dry and rubbery. It truly ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend evening.
To make matters worse, when we tried to share our feedback with the staff, they showed no interest and didn’t even respond.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Both the food and service were far below acceptable...
