Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Akron

The merchandise in this store is not too bad. There is a fairly big selection of clothing and household items. The price is fair and if you happened to find some clothing or shoes in your size, it’s a great deal. However, the service is bad. There are frequently long lines at the registers. I had a horrible experience last night! I found out yesterday morning that the piece of security plastic wasn’t taken off by the register two days ago when I checked out. So I went in last night and asked them to take it off. The lady whose name is Michelle blatantly told me that even if I paid for it, without a receipt they couldn’t do anything. I was shocked. I’m not trying to return or replace the shoes, for which you may need a receipt. I’m simply in h asking them to correct their staff’s mistake of not taking it off in the first place! Here I am wasting my time and gas money to drive 50 mins back and forth to get it off. The sticker was even still on the shoe and I don’t know why they can’t scan the barcode and see that I paid for it! Finally, I suggested looking at farmers recording and I told them the exact time and the register number that I checked out. And boom, they found it! I do not work for the store, I am a paying customer, and I had to go out of my ways to suggest ways to help them solve customer problems. First and last trip 02/18/24 . There was only one cashier. poor girl, her manager just standing in back of store. The lady at register checking out was hagling prices at the register and left to get something else. The cashier then helped the next couple who also waited for final checkout to decide on their purchases and hagled prices again! There were 8 people in line, including myself, total time in line was going on 17 min. Then the lady who left the line at the beginning, was allowed to come back to front of line and again argued price of a purse. The manager came up to explain that she had to stock the back and couldnt help this poor cashier. By the time we checked out, 4 of the 8 people just left the carts of merchandise and left store without purchases. Lots of lost sales cause of poor...

Where do I even start. The products are good & the prices are great, some of the staff is friendly but I can’t shop here without getting anxiety. It’s a disaster zone. I understand people are holiday shopping, but even during the week this place looks like a bomb went off. I’m not giving anymore of my money to a company that doesn’t even care that product is on the floor getting dirty. You can tell they truly don’t care. It’s not like a few shirts are on the floor here & there. In every Department product is all over the floor & nothing is organized.
