From the beginning of my breakfast there. It was terrible. I walked in and the only thing that was a saving Grace was the hostess at that point. She kindly asked the waitresses where they would like me to be sat and they ignored her. Talking amongst themselves. When she asked them again they had a smart comment to her and were taking their time. So she just went ahead and sat me in a very comfortable area. After that everything went downhill. The waitress came over and was very short with no conversation whatsoever. She brought me out my coffee and my water to start. The coffee was weak. Watered down tasted absolutely terrible. The water glass had dirt spots inside of it. You'd think that an experienced waitress would check that. She took my order and I waited for my food. That was the biggest disaster. Out came a plate that was a portion size that I've never seen at a Bob Evans. I grew up in an area where we had three Bob Evans within 15 mi of each other. So within a 45 mile stretch you could go to three different Bob Evans. And it didn't matter which one you went to, they were all fantastic restaurants. Believe it or not, even as a kid in high school and even into college I used to go home or meet with my friends and eat at Bob Evans. At this point I would never walk into the Akron Bob Evans. Again. The food lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever. Portion sizes were so small and what I used to pay $13 for. I paid $20 for today. The waitress basically nords you and was busy having conversations with other waitresses. They said the district manager was there and that's why people were stressed. Well, that just tells you that even the district manager doesn't know what they're doing at this point if they're causing stress to their individual property employees. I used to work for Bob Evans years ago. I was unsuccessful personally at being a manager. In full disclosure, I resigned due to the fact that I broke a company rule. But with waitresses now wearing black t-shirts and jeans and not paying attention to customers and paying more attention to each other on their cell phones, hell anybody could be a manager for them now. I am so disappointed with this property. And I will never ever be there again. I did not accept any discounts when I complained about my service because that would be inappropriate for me to post in a...

After another fifteen minutes of no food a total of an hour wait we ended up asking for the check for the coffees and leaving without food. I'll never be back. I understand being busy and slow but having a manager lie to us instead of just telling is the truth that they lost our food and failed to put in the order. I'm done with Bob Evans.
Every week my roommates and I go to Bob Evans, we call it Bob's day, but normally we go to the one on arlington. Today we decided to go to the one in cuyahoga falls as we had errands to run at chapel hill. I understand busy days but it took the waitress 15 minutes to even take our order or acknowledge us, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time as we had been waiting a while. 52 minutes later and watching three other family's be sat, order, and receive their food, we are still sitting here with no food. I went to speak with the manager who provided a poor "sorry we are busy" excuse, even when I explained that other people have gotten their food. His response was "oh well one side of the grill is busier than the other and just happened to be bad luck." This is very unacceptable service. Honestly I'm starving and waited this long already or we would have walked out. Needless to say we will never be back, bob's day will now be ihop day or Samantha's restaurant day. I've never been so disappointed by a food service, not just because of how bad the coordination was, but the blatent lying and making excuses by the manager. I'm sorry but this is not the ethical environment that we are looking for in a restaurant. As I finish this up, our food is still not here and I am watching the family next to us go up to pay (they were sat after we...
Read moreCame in at about 10am on 9/1/22 (two adults, one toddler). 15 min wait, finally ate around 65 minutes after seated. Everyone around us seemed to be served on time, maybe we were complicated?
"Not complicated", according to the manager (Wife didn't catch her name), they had to "focus on catering orders"? She was super aloof about it, but that's not a dine-in customer's fault.
No apology from the manager, no updates while waiting, no attempt at Service Recovery. They didn't even send bread out. Food finally arrived as I was on the cusp of asking if Jesus was wake boarding in the dishwasher. I've been served a 1/2 time quicker at Morton's and Ken Stewart's when they're both packed.
Maybe the Mgr. has never dealt with a 2-1/2 year old sitting in a booth for over an hour. Waitress was super nice and we could tell she actually cared (but not much she can do when even the manager blows off your concerns, y'know? (or isn't even concerned about your customer concerns)). Still left her a 20% tip, but will not be back to this particular B.Evans.
Lastly and a side note, my wife is celiac, they did actually do an outstanding job with her gluten free request. Still, zero need to get defensive or act nonchalantly about your store issues with customers who are simply inquiring about the delay in service....especially when other parties seated next to us received their food nearly 12 min after being seated (I timed it...I'm sure it was "simple to make" -...
