This place is going down...FAST! I used to frequent here a lot, but the customer service now has gone out the door. A couple of weeks ago, I place a pickup delivery for 2 pizzas, wings and a 2 Liter soda, $30+. Since it was a Friday evening, I knew the wait time would be longer and had mentally prepared myself. The young lady who took my order told me my food would be ready in 45 minutes, which is what I expected. I arrive an HOUR later, giving them a 15 minute cushion. The drive thru guy (Manny) told me that my food wouldn't' be ready for another 45minutes! Wait, What? I explained to him that when I placed the order I was told that it would take 45 minutes for my food to be ready and now you're telling me its going to take an additional 45 minutes? So I asked him, "Are you going to discount my ticket since you guys have made an error...'No'. No discount, No "I'm Sorry", no acknowledgement of wrongdoing, no apology, no free coupon to use down the road, in no way was he concerned about making this right, nothing. All I was given was a blasé attitude that pretty much said...take it or leave it, at full price. I've worked in food service industry combined total over 20 years, even when you drop the ball as a restaurant there are still things you can do to make sure you keep your customer...this current crew knows nothing about that. Read moreOrdinarily, I would give this restaurant a 5 star rating as it is mine and my husband's favorite place to order pizza, but the last time we ordered we experienced some questionable behavior from our delivery driver and are unsure of what provoked his aggression towards us. It was New Year's Eve and we had a few of our friends over (a total of 6 people, plus our son) so we decided to order delivery, rather than go out. It took a while for us to receive our order, but we weren't bothered by it because we expected many others to order pizza and have it delivered as well. However, once the driver arrived he began questioning my husband repeatedly about whether or not he smoked (he doesn't, by the way, none of us do) and grew increasingly aggressive towards him. For the remainder of the evening I couldn't shake the events from my mind and I began to be fearful as my son was home with us, upstairs and asleep. I know I was being paranoid, but I felt like he could've possibly been dangerous as crazy as that may sound. Aside from this issue, our food was very good; definitely fresh and made with quality...
Read moreThe customer is NOT always right, at this store. I ordered a sandwich to half with my husband. I ordered no mushrooms. (It is on the receipt.) I checked the receipt, (it was correct) but a hot melted sandwich is not so easy to check. Anyway my husband grabbed his half and ate. I bit into mine just as he was finishing up and what do you know- mushrooms. I called and they said they could remake it. I wanted to let them know up front that I only had the one half (of a small, btw.) That changed everything, and suddenly there was "nothing they can do," and quite rudely, at that. I have been in food service for over 25 years and have watched the slow decline of actually trying to please the customer. I come from a time when we would have offered SOMETHING, even if a half a sandwich was not possible. (And why wouldn't it be?) Hungery Howies was, of course, in the wrong, and I was not asking for much. I called preparing to be understanding and take what they could offer, and be polite about it.
