The restaurant’s minimalist design exudes understated elegance—clean, inviting, and refreshingly unpretentious. The atmosphere sets the stage for what turned out to be an exceptional culinary experience.
We began with the Vietnamese pancake, a beautifully crisp and golden delight. I appreciated the thoughtful use of lean pork, a welcome departure from the heavier pork belly often found in similar dishes. This lighter choice allowed the vibrant flavors to shine without feeling overly indulgent.
Next, the Bún Bò Huế arrived, its aromatic broth promising depth and complexity. I was particularly impressed by the chef’s decision to forgo traditional blood pudding and pork knuckle, opting instead for leaner cuts of meat. Read moreReviews did not disappoint! We live in Waterford and usually drive out to Mills or Oviedo for Vietnamese food, but when City Pho popped up on Google Maps with such great reviews we knew we had to try it. This will definitely be our new go to spot.
I went with my husband and kids. Everyone loved their pho and I had the vermicelli bowl. We also ordered Thai tea, lychee green tea, and lemonade. The menu is very extensive so we will definitely be back to explore more dishes.
The service was excellent and we even got a warm table side greeting from the owner Kai. He was such a pleasure to talk with and you can tell he is passionate about the food and the restaurant. He even offered us a taste of his Vietnamese coffee which was both delicious and strong.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated, very clean, and reasonably priced. They also offer happy hour daily from 3 to 6 and Thrifty Thursdays with pho bowls for 9.99. We cannot wait...

The summer rolls and fried spring rolls were the perfect appetizers—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Each dish was a testament to the care and quality that goes into their food.
